Chapter 2.

Chapter 1

Finalizing my foundation, I stepped back to make sure every bruise or cut was blended in. The most bruises were on my back but my wavy mousy brown hair with pink streaks covered it up. I was only 16. I shouldn't have to cover bruises and suffer through this pain again. It had been 2 years since mum died and Sam had already moved on. Bailey was Sam’s new fiance but she was like mum, really nice and very pretty. Bailey had long curly red hair with brown eyes and freckles; she was 28 only 7 years younger than Sam. Bailey was brave and took hits for me, she could take pain but she was still not confident enough to tell anyone about how he treats us. I left the bathroom and picked up my school bag quietly as Sam was asleep. Braydon was waiting by his car for me, his vest top revealed his muscular build, he was 18 and had dirty blonde quaffed hair with bright blue eyes. Sam forced me to be with him as Braydon is his friend’s son. Sam and Braydon are abusive people but in different ways.
“Come and give me a kiss then you slut.” He demanded in his deep voice. I did what I was told and kissed him on the lips, as I pulled away he pulled me closer so I couldn't run. He ran his hand up and down my thigh as he forced his tongue in my mouth. Eventually, he pulled away.
“Get in the car.” I entered the car and we drove to his house.
“We are meant to go to school, why are we here?” I inquired a bit confused. He smirked.
“This is the only day that my parents are both at work so we can have some fun together.” Uncomfortably, I exited the car knowing I would've had to of done it in a minute, I neared the front door but Braydon shouted something about going in the garden first. He took me into the garden, pushed me onto the sun lounger and slipped his hand up my skirt. Tears fell from my eyes as he stripped us to nothing but underwear.
“Don’t cry. You won’t enjoy it as much if you carry on.” He stroked my cheek and pulled a pouty face.
“I...I don’t...want to...” I managed to croak out. He looked at me confused then he got annoyed once he realized what I meant. He got off of me and got hold of my hair, pulling me inside the house in agony. He threw me to the ground and spat at me.
“How dare you not want to with me. You need to be taught a lesson.”He pushed me against the wall and whipped my back several times.
“Have you changed your mind now?”I nodded. He smiled and offered me his hand.
“Bedroom or in front of the neighbours?” Before I could answer he pushed me back into the garden.
“Time to show them how sexy you are babe.”
My eyes were red and puffy when I got home; Braydon followed me in to say hi to Sam, they both just laughed at me as I ran to my room. Rapidly, I destroyed my room in anger, glumness and confusion. I couldn't find the shard, it was missing. Thoughts were running through my head. What if Sam had found it? Why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this? A knock on the door made me lose my thoughts. Bailey entered; plenty of new bruises were covering her in a blanket of purple and red. She held up the shard I was searching for.
“Why do you have that?” I panicked. She glanced at me then the floor.
“I found it earlier in here and Sam found me with it and I took the blame for it.” She cried. Tears pricked me yet again as the laughter roared from downstairs.
“Hey... it’s not your fault” She stroked my shoulder before leaving the room to answer to Sam’s beck and call. I passed out on the bed and instantly slept.
