me and my ghost

walking alone

I push the stray piece of hair out of my face and behind my hair. i keep walking until i get home. i am walking alone because Amy got a ride home and Jackson is staying after school for a basketball game.  I walk up to my old crappy house and walk in.
"I'm home" i say no respond "I'm home" I say a little louder still nothing.  I drop my bag unto the floor and run to his bedroom upstairs.  I find him on his bed with a beer in his hand, he's not breathing.  I take out my phone and dial 911.
"this is 911 whats the problem?" a girl voice says from the phone
"my dad is drunk, and he's not breathing" i say panicked
"it's ok don't panic we will be right there, where do you live?" i give her my address and hang up.  They come just a couple minutes later.
"are you Lila?" a woman about 23 says to me
"yes" i say watching them carry my dad to the van
"i'm here to watch you and drop you off somewhere you can stay, do you know anyone you can stay with while your dad is out?" she asks
"yes Amy my friend i know where she lives and i can walk there" i walk off toward Amy's house and knock on the door.  Amy's mom answers it and i tell her what happens and she lets me in.
"i can feel him coming to our world, your gonna be here awhile" Beth tells me in a sad voice. all i can feel is sadness
