The Dark Truth

The wolf's dark color and fierce red eyes amazed me as I watched the dark animal laugh in a fierce voice. Human wolves laughed? Never have I heard about them laughing. Gazing over Damian's shoulder, I saw a black aura increase around the black wolf. Locking eyes with it, I felt the evil eyes bring me in. While Damian held the stick in front of the laughing wolf, my friends began to circle around the wolf. Finally, the wolf spoke.

"Do you think a stick will stop me?" (Wolf)
"It talks?!" (Damian)

While Damian was shocked at the talking wolf, the wolf snapped its sharp teeth at the large stick. The stick snapped in half sending small pieces of wood every where. The black wolf's smile curved around its lip while it stared at me. Pushing Damian behind me, I stood between the two foes. What was this thing? What did it want? I felt Damian's strong hands lay tight on my shoulders.

"Princess Miranda, such a honor to finally meet you. I must say Azazel was wrong about you. You are more beautiful than he praised." (Wolf)
"Who are you? How do you know me?" (Me)
"Oh where are my manners? I am Alva, The Lord Azazel's right hand man. My mission is to bring the princess to him. Will you please come with me, milady?" (Alva)
"I think you have the wrong person? I think I'm dreaming also." (Damian)
"Oh so you are not Ultrian? A human huh? Well I have no need for you, but princess if you come with me, I can take you home." (Alva)
"Home?" (Me)
"Back to Ultra. With the rest of Lord Azazel's minions and followers." (Alva)
"Wait. Could y'all be the reason we left Ultra?" (Me)
"Why yes. You awakened the Dark Lord. His dark shadows covered the planet." (Alva)
"She did what?!" (Ren)
"No. How did I wake him up!?" (Me)
"You got angry or upset. You ran away and ran by the temple remember? You could not control your power any more, so your power launched throughout the realm waking up The Lord." (Alva)
"Is he serious?" (Kloey)
"I knew you had something to do with this!" (Regina)
"No. This is not true." (David and Nick)
"What is going on?" (Damian)
"Now come with me, Princess." (Alva)
"Get away from me!" (Me)

After I said that, I raised my hand up, and blazing flames burst out of my fingertips. The fire circled around Alva as he circled around the intense fire.

"So this is some of your powers. Interesting." (Alva)

As the wolf used his paws to throw dirt on the fire,  I fell to the ground. Sitting on my knees, I stared at the ring my father gave me. Did he know? How does he feel about this? Who knows this? Pulling my ring off, a sharp force of wing circled around me taking the fire around Alva with it. With my head staring at the ground, I felt a tear run down my face. Then, the fire wind go stronger. I could hear my friends screaming at me, but I ignored them. Tears ran down my face faster and faster until one voice rose above the rest.

"Miranda! You have to calm down." (Dad)

Hearing my dad's voice, I raised my head up. Ren and my other friends stood behind my father covering their eyes while Damian stared at me with green concerned eyes. Dad stood in front of the fire tornado with his hands in front of the tornado. Glaring on the ground, I searched for my ring. I saw the red gem glow by my leg. Picking it up, I placed the ruby gold ban on my finger. The tornado began to disappear as I saw Alva smiling brightly. Then, he ran off into the dark forest.

Standing up, I glared at my father. He had on his pajama clothes, and his black hair was messed up. However, that did not change the fact my father lied to me. I do not remember running away. Did my father take away my memory? Staring at my father, I felt the anger grow inside of me.

"You! Why did you not tell me! I did this, yet you did not tell me." (Me)
"I thought I was protecting you!" (Father)
"You made this worse! Now I woke up a Dark Lord!" (Me)
"I am sorry to jump into this conversation, but what is going on?! What just happened?" (Damian)
"How much does he know?" (Father)
"Everything, sir." (Ren)
"Wonderful. Come here." (Father)

Father walked up to Damian and placed his hand on Damian's blonde hair. Father closed his eyes while Damian's shut his eyes extremely tight. Normally, the victim would open their eyes and turn pitch black, but Damian's didn't. Father pulled back and stared strangely at the boy.

"I can not erase his memory. Strange." (Father)

Father had the ability to erase minds, telekinesis, and wind. These three powers were strong, so it was strange to see it not work on a human.

"We must go home now. Ren, you, and Miranda come with me." (Father)
"It's Damian." (Damian)
"Fine. Miranda, walk with me. Damian, follow Ren to my house." (Father)

The others ran to their vehicles and drove off while the boys nodded and walked to their vehicles. Before father and I started walking, I could not believe what I had done.  Then, I heard a howl in the forest. The howl caused my curiosity to grow as we walked through the woods. The environment was dark and almost impossible to see, but I followed father through the woods.

"The day you awoke Azazel was a difficult day. You discovered my...affair. You started crying and stormed out of the kingdom into the forest. Then next thing I know, a dark storm began to come from the east. You came in crying and hitting me. Your hits got too hard for me, so I took away that memory. I am the only one who knows about it or knew." (Father)
"You had a affair? With who?" (Me)
"It does not matter now." (Father)
"Doesn't matter!? You slept with another woman! How could you?!" (Me)
"Our marriage wasn't working, and a king can not remarry." (Father)
"You pig!" (Me)

After yelling at my father, a awkward silence grew around us. All my life I thought my father was a amazing guy, but I was wrong. He cheated on my mom. While we finished our walk throw the forest, I turned around and gazed into the dark woods. I saw red beady eyes glaring at me through the bush. Before I walked inside the house with the others, I stared at the red eyes gazing at me. The luring red eyes tried to bring me into the dark woods, but I would not allow it this time. Turning around, I began walking inside the house.

On the couch was Damian. His body was stretched out across the couch snoring. Shaking my head, I walked past the beautiful boy sleeping soundly on my couch. Leaving the living room, I started to walk up the brown stairs until I heard voices coming out of the living room. The voices were father and Ren, and they sounded worried.

"No one is to know about what happened tonight. I will take care of Damian, and you will protect Miranda." (Father)
"What if she loses control again?" (Ren)
"Do whatever means to calm her down." (Father)
"What if one day the ring breaks?" (Ren)
"Then...if we can not control them, we will have to... Take them away." (Father)
"But, sir." (Ren)
"She will control it. I hope." (Father)

I felt horrible knowing that father was not telling me things. Why was father doing this? Walking up to my room, I heard rustling coming from inside my room. Placing my hand on the door knob, I slowly began to twist the door knob opening into my room.
