The Forced Fusion

This is the same story as my previous one that I deleted, but it has different scenarios that make more sense and makes it more suspenseful.

Chapter 2.

The Forced Fusion

After the events of The Nightmare, I talked to my friend, Kurt, about it. I told him all about the nighmare. When I was finished, he looked scared, shocked and releived, all at once. He messed around with his bangs, a weird habit he had, whenever something troubled him or he was thinking about something.

"Do you remember much of your past?" he asked, a concerned look in his eyes. The question was random, and came out of no where, but I answered honestly.

"Not much, and, the things I do remember, people say never happened," I responded. He looked down, tapping his fingers on the table. I've never seen him this jittery.

"Have you ever felt that you weren't in control? Like, you were watching what you were doing, but you couldn't control your body, and it did something you didn't want to?" he asked. I nodded. "Have you ever had thoughts that weren't yours, felt paranoid for no reason, heard voices in your head that aren't yours?" again, I nodded.

"I feel like that every day," he nodded and sighed. He seemed tired, like he found something he has been looking for after a long while, and it was right in front of his face.

"The reason why you remember things that people say never happened, is because those memories are fake. Someone put them there, to hide other memories, or to cover up blank spots. You sometimes have no control of your body, have thoughts that aren't yours and hear voices in your head, is because you are something called a Spirit Fusion. You are a human fused with a being from another realm called the Spirit World. There, anything humans have ever imagined, anything considered fake, legend, myth, or story, is real. Anything is possible there," he said. He looked serious, like he wasn't lying about anything he's talking about. "There are five main speices there, Vampire, Werewolf, Fallen Angel, Dragon and human. There are sub-speices, like Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, Ghosts, Ghouls, Goblins, Demons, Spirits, and more. There are a few people who have something that's called the Sight, which let's them see things that aren't there and people's Spirit Halves. My Spirit Half is a Dragon"

"What's mine?" I asked curiously, because he was saying all this, and I was wondering about what I could be. He took his glasses off and looked at me. After a second or two, he squeezed his eyes shut and grabbed the bridge of his nose.

"Dammit..." he groaned softly, clearly in pain from a headache or something else, I coldn't tell which. "Whenever I look at you with the Sight, I see nothing but an everchanging shadow. You aren't a natural Fusion. Your dream shows that you were an experiment. The Council, the government in the Spirit World ever since the King Disappeared, secretly had experiments, trying to make Fusions, hoping to make more without it being natural, as that takes a long time. These are called Forced Fusions. There were a hundred experiments that failed the operation, yet there was one who succeeded, with only a little side effects. The experiment was called 101, nicknamed 'The Sleeping King', codenamed 'Cirrus'," he said, looking me dead in the eyes. He was serious.

"So, you're saying... all the voices in my head... my blackouts... my nightmares... everything... is because I'm something called a Forced Fusion...?" he nodded. "How many?" I asked.

"As far as I know... all of the beings of the Spirit World who didn't have a Fusion..." he said, looking down. I grabbed my head, as all the voices at once spoke, different languages, different pitches, different genders, different everything. I was overwealmed with pain, but it soon subsided. "The King went missing around the time you were born..." he said. "Maybe... he was fused with you..." He grabbed my hand, turned the palm up and drew something in the middle of it with pen, being careful to make the lines straight. As soon as he was done, the mark began to heat up and the skin around it began to cool, which felt uncomortable, almost painful. I winced and he nodded. "He was fused with you... you're the one who survived the experiments... you're a Forced Fusion... you're the Sleeping King, the ruler of the Spirit World who has long since been missing... you're the most powerful being in the other realm..." he finished. I was speechless, scared, and confused.

"What...?" I asked, like the idiot I am.

The voices in my head said in unison, 'My Lord, you have awoken, please lead us to greatness' one, that sounded like me, but a little older, spoke up.

"'It is because of our host, that we are still alive. He has endured so much for us, yet he does not know the peril he shall face whenever he dreams,' He spoke directly to me, ,My name is Michael, and I'm greatful for what you did for us. You are forever our savior,' he said simply. And, with that, my life and dreams have gottten... complicated, to put it simply.
