Whole storyAs Alice carefully tread on the slippery rocks of the moor she wondered what had happened to the old woman who lived down the lane. The shriek had come from her house. The only problem with that was that she lived over the river. .Alice was never scared of the river during the day but during the night, that was a different story. She grasped the flashlight so much her hands turned white. She was scared of the river at night. The river had claimed the lives of so many people when they fell in. She made her way quickly, and soon found the old woman’s house. The lights were flickering and Alice couldn't see any silhouettes. She knocked on the door just in case and waited but finally turned the knob and went in. .Inside the place was trashed. She knew that the old lady was very independent and very neat. This struck her as odd, and she started to get curious of what was going on. As she went upstairs she found no trace of the old lady or anybody who could’ve shrieked that loudly. As Alice absentmindedly looked around, she started thinking about the shriek and where it could come from in the deserted house. Alice was equally scared as she was curious.
While she walked towards the exit she started to call the police.”Hello, 911 why have you called?” asked a bored sounding voice. “Hello ,I have called to report a missing person. Aged 76. She lives over the river next to 48th street.” responded Alice. The person then continued to question her. When Alice was finished with the police she stated going back home when she heard a rustling sound behind her. She continued walking home nervously. Alice was quite aware that someone was following her so she started to hurry up and walk faster. By the time she got home she was sure the person had stopped following her. She looked around her like as if she were in a spy movie but didn’t see anyone. As she went inside she looked around for her mom but didn’t find her so she went to bed. In the middle of the night Alice could feel somebody's eyes on her. She woke up but didn’t see anybody. Later in the night she was aware of a cupboard opening and something heavy being cruelly shoved inside. She could hear voices that were a mix of men and women.
The women voices seemed to be much crueller sounding than the men’s. A couple of minutes later the men voices disappeared and a door banged loudly and ruefully. Alice nervously continued to listen to the conversation. The women voices also seemed to quiet down so Alice went to bed. In the morning she was harshly woken up by the smell of a rotting corpse and rotten eggs. Alice quickly woke up and pulled on her clothes in record time and then she raced downstairs. She was greeted by a site that drained all her energy and made her wearily start to scream! On the floor in a pool of blood lay the old lady from across the river. As she shrieked the neighbors started running and one lady called the police to report the murder. As the police started to barge in Alice finished screaming .The police practically plundered the place. As they did one of the policemen opened a cupboard and …… OUT FELL THE BODY OF ALICE’S MOM!!!
