Chapter 2

A young man walked through the woods. The smell of nature and flowers wafted thickly through the air. The tall trees around him shaded him from the sun that beat down on the earth. The beautiful blue sky was nearly clear, a wisp of a cloud trailing off into the distance. This young man had short, unkempt light brown hair that barely covered his tanned skin. It fell gently over the tips of his ears and stopped just above his eyes. His dark eyes scanned every passing tree with an excited suspicion
With a spring in his step and joy in his tune, he continued to explore this forest. The forest filled with mysteries and adventure around every corner.
His name is Hunter. Hunter Xavier Acosta. He had just moved to the area not to long ago. And being since he currently has no friends, he decided to go exploring on a fine day.
His deep sepia coloured eyes sparkled with curiosity as the sound of what seems like someone diving into water rang through the air. His long legs carried him closer to the sound. He laughed quietly to himself as a lake came to view. He stopped at the bank, staring into the crystal waters looking for whomever, or whatever, made the noise.
After a few moments his patients depleted and he began to undress, down to his undergarments. He let his bare foot skim the top of the water, feeling the temperature of the water.
He prepared himself and splashed into the cool liquid. He savoured the feeling of the cooling waters against his burning, tan skin. He paddled his way deeper, drenching his dark hair.
Hunter inhaled deeply before diving down, trying to swim as far down as he would think possible.
He continued on, beginning to get lightheaded, but not stopping. His vision began to blur (more than it would be underwater.) As his sight began to fail him, he turned, trying to reach the surface as quickly as possible. But, alas, he had swam too far down. Large, unstable bubbles of oxygen escaped his lungs in large amounts as he began to lose conciousness. He lost the ability to control his body, his limbs falling limp. His body began to sink, down into the deep abyss of mysterious waters.
The last thing he saw was a flash of shining blue scales before darkness invaded his vision.
