You're Okay!

Jackie's POV
We walked down the dark dimly lit hallway getting ready to go into training as I mutter to myself what I have to remember.
"Relaxed shoulders, straight back, focus on the target, eyes forward- Sonic! Can you please lay off the chillidog for one minute? I'm trying to focus!" His eyes flicker my way and he smirks still chewing the damn dog.
"You made me miss breakfast to get here, you fault, plus I know Tails doesn't mind getting stuff on his floor."
"This is for training! You need it more then me." I say sending a sly smirk his way. I see his eyes flicker with shock for a minute before he turns to me again now smirking.
"Oh really?"
"You heard me."
"Alright, Miss I-Know-Everything-About-Training, dodge this!" He sweeps out his foot trying to trip me over but I quickly just out the way. Unprepeared for this he falls forward but catching his hand I pull him up.
"Whoa there." I tease. He chuckles too, until he sees our link hands. His laughter trails off until he is left with his goofy smile and a flushed muzzle. I giggle. "What? It's not like you haven't been touched by a girl before," I tease. He just stands there. Oh, awkward. I let go of his hand. Why is he blushing? It's just me. "You're okay, I don't bite" I say trying to lighten the mood. He chuckles.
"Oh, yeah, because the first thing I thought of was 'I hope she doesn't bite me'," We share a smile and carry on walking. I want to try something.
"You could take it" I say putting my hand on his arm. He stiffens. "Oh come on!" I say. I walk in front of him and put both hands on his shoulders.
"You're. Okay."
"Jackie..." He's blushing again. It's kind of cute really. I take another step forward, I want to see how far I can push him. No. That's mean. I need to stop. But I don't want to...

Sonic's POV
Oh. I see what she's doing. She's messing with me.
"See? You're okay" She says. I smile and nod not stopping my arms from wrapping aorund her waist.
"I'm okay" I say. Two can play at that game, Jackie. Plastering a smirk on my face I try to be confident but really i'm a mess. This wasn't normal. Jackie was just a friend. I need to stop. Right now. But the wierd thing is, I don't want to.

Jackie's POV
I'm not okay anymore. He's too close but I don't want to pull away. We get closer. Closer. I close my eyes and before our lips could meet he suddenly pulls back and runs into the next room where Tails will be but I catch a smirk on his face. Is he tryiong to kill me?

Later

I walk out of Tails' workshop. I've had my training today and I feel as if i'm ready for anything! Suddenly a hand grasps mine and i'm being pulled to the side of the hallway. It's Sonic. When I said ready for anything, I didn't mean this!
"Are you okay?" I ask him as we stop.
"Yeah, yep, okay" He mutters looking away and down the hallway to see if anyone was there. Then his eyes lock onto mine. "Tell me you didn't want to kiss me" He says.
"I...what?" I question. Before I protest (not like I was going to) he snaked his arms around my waist again and pulled me close.
"Tell me you didn't feel anything, when we were like this" I blink at him not knowing how to say what I felt in words. He sighs and chuckles.
"Just kidding!" He says and begins to loosen his grip on me. When they say actions speak more then words. Before he could move anymore I lean forward and crash my lips into his. After he wore the shock off he too leaned into the kiss. After we broke apart he looked at me with his signature smile and I couldn't meet his eyes. I was blushing bad. He chuckles and spoke up, voice echoing in the empty hallway
"You're okay"
