Jackie's Aptitude Test (Part 1)

Every 16 year old is gathered in the cafeteria at school. I am sitting amongst the Abnegation. We sit up straight, and wait quietly, because we are the selfless faction. They call us 'Stiffs'.
I look over at the Amity table and see the girls giggling and chatting, playing hand-games.
Then I see the Candor table. They are playing a game of Truths, and they have to always tell the truth.
Then I look over to the Dauntless. They are watching as one girl attempts to throw a knife high into the air, then catch it, without cutting herself. And she succeeds! So brave! From what we heard in Abnegation, that girl's brother is a Dauntless leader.
And finally, I look over at the Erudite table. They are showing each other their favourite books, talking about what happens in it.
An Abnegation woman walks out, with a clipboard. She must be the one who calls our names.
"Good afternoon, faction hopefuls," she says. "Today, you will each take the Aptitude Test, and find out what your recommended factions are. But remember, the Test has nothing to do with the Choosing Ceremony tomorrow. You choose what you want. Now, when you hear your name, follow me to the rooms through here. Best of luck in your tests."
We are all still looking at her, to find out the names who are called.
"From Erudite, Ellie and Jenny."
I see two people from Erudite get up. One, a bat, another, a hedgehog.
"From Dauntless, Crimson and Lea-Anne."
Another 2 people get up, but from the Dauntless people this time. One of them is the girl who threw the knife and tried to catch it.
"From Candor, Sapphire and Orchid."
The light blue hedgehog from Candor who stands up catches my eye.
"From Amity, Leat and Tana."
I watch as Leat and Tana get up from the Amity table, giggling at each other.
"And finally, from Abnegation, Elspeth and Jackie."
Elspeth and I stand up, and join the other 8 in following the Abnegation volunteer to a row of 10 rooms. These rooms are only used for the Aptitude Tests. Elspeth waits outside room 5, and I wait outside room 6. On my other side is Tana from Amity.
The doors open. We all walk in simultaneously.
This is it.
A Dauntless woman waits for me inside. One of the walls is covered in mirrors.
"I was wondering when you'd get here," the woman says. "My name is Nayma. Please, take a seat."
There is one chair in the middle of the room. It looks like a chair you'd find in a dental practice.
Nayma gives me a blue liquid. "What is this?" I ask.
"Just drink it," Nayma replies. "Trust me."
I have no other choice. I tug my head back and swallow the drink in one gulp.
And the last thing I see before I close my eyes is that Nayma is attaching wires to the chair.
And to my forehead.
