Ch. 5
A couple months have passed, and Yui is friends with a few new people. Sakura and Ino played with her despite her non-verbal speech. Kiba had apologized to her and they played pranks on some people. Choji was always happy Yui shared her snacks with him. Yui was always around one or two of her friends. Right now, Yui is laughing at Kiba's joke. And the two are walking to class. Kaito was with Sasuke. Kaito and Yui grew distant, they don't talk to one another anymore. In class, everyone's doing the transformation Jutsu. It's Naruto's turn."Transform!" He shouts.
The result was... off. Everyone laughs at him. Everyone except Yui and Hinata.
"Ha! How can you be a ninja if you can't even do a simple Jutsu!?" Kiba laughs.
A hand collides with his face. It's none other than Yui. She gives him a look of disgust.
"Kiba-kun... don't laugh at people for having difficulties or problems. It's a low, jerk move!" She says in a menacing voice.
Everyone stares at the girl, they're eyes wide. Yui sits down and acts as if nothing happened. She spoke, Iruka thinks. It's Yui's turn now. She makes the hand sign, but no words follow. She turns into the Hokage, quite nicely. She turns back to normal. With her hands in her pockets, she went back to her seat. She doesn't notice Kiba staring at her.
*Timeskip*
Yui sat next to Shikamaru. He was the only friend who dozed off during important things or during break time. This time, he didn't bother sleeping. Yui spoke, it's a rare event that it happens. She put something on his head. A flower crown.
"Yui, you're being weird," Shikamaru complains.
'Look who's talking, Shi-chan!' She writes with an annoyed face.
"What a drag. Oh, wait you're always weird. And what's with the Shi-chan?"
Yui gently hit him with her notepad. His brown-eyed friend giggles. Then Naruto walks up to them.
"Um... Yui... Thanks for standing up for me."
Yui gives a smile. She thought Naruto's funny. A boy comes outta nowhere. Who is this boy? Break ends and Shikamaru pulls Yui to her feet. Naruto and Shikamaru walk on both sides of Yui. In class, Yui sets eyes on the boy from earlier. Iruka clears his throat.
"Okayyy." The class (except Yui) replies.
Kaname took his seat next to Kaito. Yui was trembling. H-how is Kaname h-here, she thinks. The whole remainder of the class she stared at the boy. She couldn't help it, her village was massacred. The other children heard a voice. A beautiful voice was heard. Kaito was in shock. Could it possibly be? His sister was singing. Yui was the only one who ever sang that song. Kaito found her. When she finished she caught sight of her brother. She gave a small smile. A small, awkward. The song repeats in Kaito's head. Shikamaru witnessed it as well. He never thought Yui was capable of it. Yui is such a quiet girl, her singing is like a weapon. It puts people in shock.
"So Yui never thought you'd ever sing again." Kaito teased.
'Like you can say anything...' Yui wrote.
"Zip it, shrimp."
'Are you trying to pick a fight!?'
Kaito walked away from the small girl. JERK, Yui thought. Kaname walked to Yui. Yui's eyes widen. Kaname smirked.
"What's wrong, Yui-chan? I thought you'd be happy to see me." He said.
'You're supposed to be dead, Kaname. I WATCHED YOU DIE!" She wrote, obviously frantic.
"Ha, you are an idiot. I was brought back, stupid."
'Lie!'
The boy walks away. Yui jumped down from the tree. It isn't possible for a dead person to reawaken. The rest of the day continued. As the years at the academy continue, Yui loses contact with Kaito and Sasuke. She grows close to Hinata and Naruto. Now let's get to the actual Naruto series!
