Chapter 7
I looked up at the night sky. It was covered with hundreds of tiny white dots shining in the darkness."Look at the stars." I said to Mica, pointing to them.
"They're beautiful. Just like you." he smiled.
"Thanks. . ." I said quietly.
We kept walking through the park, and then Mica started talking again.
"So, I was thinking, maybe we should keep our relationship a secret. We both get made fun of a lot, and everyone already thinks we like each other. This won't really help much." he said.
I thought about it, then nodded.
"Yeah, we should probably keep it a secret. I don't want people to pick on me even more than they already do." I told him.
"Okay, then. We won't tell anybody." Mica replied.
When we reached the park gates, we said goodbye to each other. I began to walk away.
"Wait." Mica said, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards him.
I opened my mouth to ask him what he wanted, and then he put his lips on mine, taking me by surprise. I kissed him back, and when the kiss ended, he smiled at me shyly.
"Well, I'll see you at school tomorrow." Mica said to me.
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow." I replied, waving to him, and I started to walk home.
On the way back to my house, all I could think about was Mica. He was my boyfriend, and he loved me. I had never dated anyone before, because nobody had ever loved me. And he kissed me twice. I remembered how happy I had felt then.
When I got home, I opened the front door and stepped inside. I went up the stairs to my bedroom, and I closed the door behind me. I was so happy that I started to dance around the room. I couldn't wait to see Mica again at school the next day.
