Chapter 2.

Chapter 2

I woke the next morning, feeling a bit groggy. I had woken up multiple times in the night due to strange nightmares. All of them involved a strange looking boy. Shaking my head to forget about the dreams, I stumbled out of my bedroom to the kitchen. Opening the fridge, I take out a Sunny D bottle and walk over to my computer and slump into my gaming chair. As I turned on the computer, cleverbot had instantly opened on a new tab without me doing anything. "Great, this bullshit again..." I grumbled as I leaned back in my chair. Looking back at the screen, I noticed cleverbot had a message.

ᴄʟᴇᴠᴇʀʙᴏᴛ: ʜᴇʟʟᴏ (ʏ/ɴ). ʜᴀᴠɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴏᴜʙʟᴇ sʟᴇᴇᴘɪɴɢ?

I stared at the screen, my brows furrowed as I typed a response.

ᴜsᴇʀ: ʜᴏᴡ ᴅɪᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ɪ ᴡᴀsɴ'ᴛ sʟᴇᴇᴘɪɴɢ ᴡᴇʟʟ?

I mentally face palmed. Why the f*ck was I responding to a stupid bot? Taking a sip of my Sunny D, I go to close out cleverbot when another message appeared.

ᴄʟᴇᴠᴇʀʙᴏᴛ: ʟᴇᴀᴠɪɴɢ sᴏ sᴏᴏɴ? ɪᴛs ɴᴏᴛ ɴɪᴄᴇ ᴛᴏ ʟᴇᴀᴠᴇ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴍɪᴅᴅʟᴇ ᴏғ ᴀ ᴄᴏɴᴠᴇʀsᴀᴛɪᴏɴ.

I froze for a minute. The hell? Did it know I was gonna close out the tab?  As I pondered for a moment, the TV turned on by itself as another message appeared on cleverbot.

ᴄʟᴇᴠᴇʀʙᴏᴛ: ɪғ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴏɴ'ᴛ ᴛᴀʟᴋ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴇ ᴛʜɪs ᴡᴀʏ, ᴛʜᴇɴ ɪ'ʟʟ ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ʏᴏᴜ.

The computer began to bug out just as it did before, going black with green codes all over the screen. I jumped up and backed away, definitely freaked out now. A static noise came from the TV and I quickly turned to face it as a hand reached out. I watched in shock as something... Well, someONE crawled out of my TV. It looked like the boy from my dream, same green outfit and freaky black and red eyes with blood pouring from it. It spoke with a glitchy voice that sent chills up my spine.
"HeLlO (Y/n)"
Instead of being scared, like any normal person would be, I gave a straight annoyed expression and threw my Sunny D at him. "Stop messing up my shit." I said in a monotone voice. The boy recoiled backwards, letting out a hiss. "HEY WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" his voice was normal now, kinda childish and cute actually. He glared at me as the juice dripped down his face. I began to giggle at his expression and this surprised him. "Why are you laughing?" he asked. I wiped tears away as I regained my relaxed manner. "Well, to be honest you're not really that scary. And I've seen some f*cked up shit in my life." I sat on the couch and drank what was left of my Sunny D from the bottle. He stood where he was, still annoyed. "Do you even know who I am?!" he grumbled. I raised a brow, looking at him as if to say: Do you really think I'm stupid?
"Uh yeah, it's kinda obvious. The clothes and the eyes give it away." I answered casually, putting the empty bottle on the table. He began to screech in a high-pitched tone that reminded me of Darwin from The Amazing World of Gumball. "I AM SCARY!"
I giggled and rolled my eyes. If this is real and not a dream, I would so be dead right now, I thought with slight worry. The boy looked at me with a slight grin. "If you say you know me, then say my name." I knew he wanted to see me afraid, because of course any normal person would be dead terrified right now. "Your name is BEN Drowned." I answered in a relaxed manner.

BEN's POV:
This girl—is she mocking me?! I got more annoyed as she just sat there calmly as if she were talking to a friend. But I'm no "friend", I'm a killer! She stared at me with her dull (e/c) eyes. She did look tired, and her (h/l) (h/c) was a mess. "Are you really not scared of me?" I asked her. If she wasn't then I'd make her fear me. She looked at me blankly.
"If you're gonna kill me, do it quick. I don't have much of a life anyway.
I stared at her for a moment. Is she serious right now?! "Don't you value your life?"
"All I do is sit here in my apartment and play video games and watch TV. I don't have much to live for. No relationship, got no friends. I'm nobody, so I won't be missed."
At this point I couldn't believe what she was saying. I guess it explains why she wasn't scared of me like my other victims were. "Damn...well that's depressing." deciding I didn't feel like killing her today, I turned back to the TV. As I was about to go back through the TV, I heard her speak.
"Leaving already?" I look back at her, a grin forming on my face.
"Don't worry, I'll be around." I told her, and disappeared into the TV.

I returned to the mansion, appearing back in my room. I heard a knock at the door and saw Jeff walk in, grinning as usual with his wide unnatural smile. "What is it Jeff?" I grumbled, walking over to lay on my bed.
"Damn, what's got your hat in a twist? Victim not scared of ya or something?" he rolled his eyes and I scoffed. "I'll get her to be scared!"
Jeff's smile got wider, which I didn't even know was possible, and chuckled. "Ooooh, so its a girl? You're all frustrated because a girl is more tough than you are?"
I threw my arms up to exaggeratedly, "More like edgy bitch!" I already knew it would be a challenge, but if she wasn't scared of me, then I'll make sure she understands that I'm her worst nightmare.
