Chapter 3.

Chapter 3

It had been about a week since the whole "BEN" encounter. The majora game had been acting normally now, and so did the computer. "So much for coming back." I mumbled and drank my Sunny D. Bored and with not much to do, I decided to get up and try to go outside.
I locked my apartment door behind me and walked to the park. Thankfully nobody was really out today so it was just me. Sitting on the swing, I close my eyes and listen to the river that was about half a yard from me. I got lost in my own thoughts when a loud splash caught my attention. "what was that?" I looked towards the river curious. Standing up to get a better view, I get a glimpse of a green hat and blonde hair. "You gotta be kidding me..." sighing, I walk over to the river and crouch down to find BEN all soaked and clinging to the riverside breathing heavily. I giggled, "Having fun?"
He looked up at me, his expression going from a flustered embarrassment to a cool and calm manner. "A-ahem, hello (Y/n). Don't think you're rid of me yet." he gave a slight smirk. I stared at him with an expression that showed I could care less. "So what, you're haunting me now or something? How'd you even get here?" I asked, then my eyes widened as he held up a familiar small device. My phone. He smirked and swung the phone in my face. "I came through your phone. You dropped it when you past the river."
I glared at him as I grabbed my phone back from him. I walked back to the swing and sat back down only to notice he had followed me. "What do you want?" I glared at him. "Unless you'll kill me, go away." I waved my hand to shoo him away. BEN just stood there with his arms crossed. "I won't kill you yet. Its no fun if you're not even scared!" He sat down on the other swing next to me. It only just now occurred to me what other people would think if they saw him. "Hey, don't you have like, some disguise to keep people from noticing all this?" I gestured to his appearance. He gave me a look as if he hadn't though of that.
I rolled my eyes. "For someone who's supposed to be a feared killer, you're being pretty f*cking stupid right now." I gazed at the river, watching the sunlight sparkle over it. BEN cleared his throat to get my attention and I noticed his appearance had changed. "Better?" He smirked as a slight pink blush crossed my face. His blonde hair looked more fluffy than bedraggled now, and his eyes were an ocean blue. He wore a green Zelda hoodie and jeans with sneakers. He also had on a green beanie hat with the same triforce symbol. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and huffed. "At least you won't draw attention."
We sat there for a while til it began to get dark. I enjoyed the nighttime. Others were afraid of the dark because they feared something bad would happen to them, but to me it was like a comfort blanket. I smiled as a slight breeze glided through my (h/l) (h/c) hair. I noticed BEN staring at me and we quickly looked away. "We should get going, can't have you dying out here before I can kill you." He hopped off the swing and began to walk towards the bridge. I didn't move. I liked staying out at night, and besides, nothing has ever happened to me. "I'm not gonna die. Nobody ever comes here after dark so there's no rush." he gave a disapproving glance, but walked back and sat back down next to me. A little while went by and I had begun to get sleepy. I leaned my head against the cold chains of the swing when a stick cracked behind us. BEN had immediately jumped up, looking alert and slightly annoyed, and grabbed my arm. He and I ran all the way back to my apartment without stopping.
Once safely back home, I flop onto my couch and try to catch my breath.
"why.... Did you... Run?" I gasped between breaths. He was looking out the window, his brows furrowed. I finally managed to get my breathing back to normal, geez I should exercise more often. He didn't move as I walked up to him to peer out the window. I couldn't see anything unusual, but he apparently knew SOMETHING was there. "what's going on? Why did you drag me back home?!" I yelled at him. He looked back at me with a serious expression. "I'm not the only one who wants to kill you ya know." I tilt my head in confusion. "Well, duh. Haven't you seen the scars on my arm? " his expression didn't change. "I'm serious (Y/n). There's others like me, and one of them has decided to hunt you down."

BEN's POV
(Y/n) gave me a disbelieving look. "Who else would want to kill me? "  I sighed and looked back out the window. Dammit Jeff, why do you gotta ruin everything! I noticed (Y/n) had walked back to the couch and fell asleep. I walked over and sat down on the floor next to her. She's actually kinda pretty. Wait, what am I saying?! I'm gonna kill her, I shouldn't be thinking she's pretty! I shook my head to clear my thoughts, put a blanket over (Y/n) and disappeared into the TV.

(Y/n)'s POV
I was pretty tired, and didn't feel like interrogating BEN about what the problem was. I closed my eyes to sleep. After a bit, I sensed BEN sitting next to me. I felt his warm breath on my cheek. I had been on my own for a long time and wasn't use to company, yet I enjoyed BEN'S presence. It comforted me a bit. Plus, he promised to grant my wish of death. So I guess I should be careful about whoever this "hunter" is.

(Time Skip brought to you by Mr. Slendy Bendy Man :D)

Sunlight hit my face through the barely closed blinds. Stretching, I rolled off the couch. Thankfully nobody lived in the apartment below me so I could stomp around as much as I pleased. Getting up. I walked to the bathroom to shower. The warm water hitting my face helped me wake up. I still had an odd feeling that something was off. As I wrapped myself up in a towel and walked to my bedroom to get clothes, I stopped in my tracks as a familiar green clad boy sat on my bed.
"Good morning (Y/n)."
I screamed and kicked BEN out into the living room. "STAY OUT OF MY BEDROOM!" I slammed the door and got dressed. Afterwards, I walked out wearing my black skinny jeans and a black tank-top. Glaring at BEN as I sat on the couch, finishing tying my hair into a high side ponytail and tying a blue ribbon in it. BEN was sitting on the arm of the couch, kicking his legs like a small child. I rolled my eyes and decided to play some video games. BEN watched me for a while before my cat had dashed out from my room and plopped herself onto my lap. BEN nearly jumped out of his skin as the black cat gazed at him with amber eyes. "When did you get a cat?!"
"I've always had her. Midna is precious to me! I guess you could say she's my only friend." I smiled as I pet Midna. After an hour of playing games I got up and stretched. I hadn't been outside since yesterday, and I wanted to go to the park again, so I got my black hoodie and leather shoulder bag. I was sure to put a knife in my bag in case I ran into my so-called "Hunter".  BEN looked at me curiously. "Where are you going?"
"The park, by myself." and with that, I quickly walked out the door and locked my apartment door. I made my way to the park and sat in my usual spot on the swing. Same as yesterday, there weren't many people out. I got out my phone and put on my headphones. I picked a random playlist on my mp3 and smiled as one of my favorite songs began to play. I sat there and admired the river when I noticed something walk into the woods. There was a little tunnel under the road that marked the start of the woods. Curious, I got up and began to follow.
I stopped at the bridge to look around and try to find where the figure had disappeared to. Tag You're It by Melanie Martinez began to play on my mp3 (idk that's what I'm listening to right now) as I noticed the figure. I began to run after them, hoping I could catch up. But once again, they were gone. By now, I was farther in the woods and had wandered from the main path. "F*ck...how am I gonna get back?" I spun around trying to find the path again but all I saw were trees. Getting frustrated, I kicked a tree.
"Well that's no way to handle your problems, dearie."
I heard a strange voice and I turned to face the owner. Leaning against a tree was a tall figure. He had a noticeably carved Chelsea grin and his eyes were burned forever open. I cringed back away a bit, and pulled out my knife. "Stay away." I growled. He began to laugh.
"Just... Go to sleep."
He lunged at me at inhuman speed with a sharp knife. I somehow managed to doge and only get my arm cut. Blood leaked from the fresh wound and I winced in pain. I growled and stood back up straight. "Who are you and what do you want?" I glared at him. He smiled and charged at me with another attack. I managed to dodge this time with no casualties. I took my own knife from my bag and readied myself to fight back, but I wasn't strong enough, he knocked me down with ease. He had the blade to my throat and whispered. "Go to sleep." before he could slit my throat, a sound rustled in the bushes.
With the guy now distracted, I flipped him onto his back and held my knife to his neck. "Tag, you're it." I had spoke along with the song at the same time the lyrics played. I had a crazy look in my eye as smiled. He glared at me and struggled, slightly surprised how I had suddenly turned the tables.
"How...the hell-" he struggled to speak since my knife was against his throat. "Shut up, now who the hell are you and why did you attack me?" he grunted and glared at me. I decided to let him up but kept my guard. "he scrambled back to a standing position as I took off my headphones. "You, of all people, should already know that." I tilt my head in confusion. Now that I thought about it, he did look familiar. The white skin, the carved smile....holy shit. "You're Jeff, aren't you." He nodded. I still kept my guard, "Ok, why are you trying to kill me?"
"Because it's what I do. You're my next target."
I suddenly remembered what BEN told me. That there were others like him and one of them was hunting me. "So you're one of them? I can't believe I didn't figure that out myself." I deadpanned as I mentally face palmed. I had read his story as well as a few others. I should be able to recognize them on the spot! Jeff had begun to walk away into the woods. "I guess you're stronger that we thought." and he disappeared. I put my knife away and put my headphones back on. "Well then, this day has been overly exciting."
