Chapter 3: Words That Felt Real

The hotel room was dimly lit, curtains drawn against the prying world outside. Jay's fingers traced slow patterns along her arm as rain tapped against the window like forgotten promises. "You're different," he whispered, pulling her closer. "Everyone wants the idol Jay. You see the guy who's scared half the time."

Y/N curled into him, believing every word that fell from his lips. They moved together slowly at first, then desperately, skin against skin, breaths mingling in the dark. It felt like connection, like love, like something that could last.

Afterward, he held her tightly, as if afraid she'd vanish.

Y/N: You make me feel like I'm not alone anymore. Like my dreams aren't stupid.

Jay: You're my escape, baby. Don't ever doubt that. I'd choose you over all of this if I could. One day, when things calm down...

She fell asleep to his heartbeat, dreaming of futures where they didn't have to hide. But the next morning, as he dressed quickly, his phone buzzed with a photo from a "work dinner." Female idols smiling beside him. He turned the screen away too fast, kissing her forehead. "Just industry stuff. You know how it is."

She told herself it was nothing. The words had felt so real. Why ruin it with doubt?
