The Great... Sans? (Underswap! Sans X Reader)

Bonding!

Reaching the next area, you see another puzzle and a sign next to it. Approaching the sign you read, "Turn all the x's into o's, then press the button."

Confused, you turn toward the puzzle and see two glowing x's and snow mounds separating them. Next to the sign was a button. Slightly impressed, you approach the first x and look at it carefully.

"How on Earth do I turn it into an o?" You lean down and reach out, touching the x lightly. As soon as you touched it, it turned into an o, shocking you and making you fall on your butt.

Smiling wide, you quickly get up and run to the other side, pressing the other x with your foot, making it turn into another o. Satisfied with your work, you walk back to the sign and step on the button, making the spikes that were once blocking the path disappear.

A triumphant smirk spreads on your face as you proceed to the next area, but you stopped in your tracks once you saw Sans.

"what?! how did you get pass my trap?! and more importantly, is there any left for me?" He looks at you with wide eyes and an innocent smile, hands clasped over his chest.

"Uhh," you struggled to find your words. What do you tell him about his tacos? Lie to him and raise his hopes, only to have the possibility of him find in out later, or tell him now and crush him?

"I, um, I actually left them back there..." you nervously await his response, looking away from him and shakily rubbing your arm. You didn't eat his tacos, the least you could do was be honest about it.

"wow, you resisted my cooking... just so you could share it with me?!" He gasps

You were shocked at first, but you smiled and nodded quickly after you caught on. No matter what, he saw from the most optimistic point of view... even if he was wrong sometimes.

"Um, of course!" you lie. Sans' smile widens even more and his eyes take the shape of stars.

"worry not (Y/N)! for i, master chef sans, will cook you all the tacos you could ever want!" His face has a slight blue tint as he looks at you.

"That would be wonderful Sans!" You say, and the blue on his face darkens to a deep blue.

"great! heh heh heh heh heh mweh!" And with that, he runs off with you in tow. Up ahead you see him waiting for you, so you jog until you are in front of him.

"my brother started a glove collection recently. how saddening," he mumbles. You chuckle at his statement, causing the blue tint of his face to appear again. "sometimes i wonder what he would do... without such a cool guy taking care of him! mweh heh heh!" He laughs.

You laugh a little to before adding, "I think he would be a little lost without you Sans, by the look of it, he needs you a little more than he thinks." You poke his side and say, "Everyone needs a cool person to look after them, even if they don't realize it."

Sans' face becomes blue once more, so you decide to ask, "Hey Sans, how come your face becomes blue like that?"

The blue darkens a little and he covers his face with his gloved hands before replying, "i-it's t-the way i-i blush..."

You gasp and hold your hands to your mouth. That is just too cute!

"Oh my gosh Sans! You are too adorable!" you tease him, and his blue blush darkens to a navy blue.

You laugh before grabbing his hand and continuing down the path. From the corner of your eye you see him trying to calm himself down from all the teasing and compliments before he notices his next puzzle.

"ah! (Y/N)! here is my next puzzle!" He rushes ahead of you and stops next to the sign. "hmm, how can i can i say this... you were taking quite a long time to arrive, so... i decided to improve this puzzle by having it look more like my face!"

You glance over at the puzzle and see its another x and o puzzle, except it was shaped oddly. "unfortunately, the snow froze to the ground, so now the solution is different!"

You look to Sans as he continues on with his rant, "and as usual, my lazy brother is nowhere to be found! i suppose what i am trying to say is... worry not (Y/N)!" He  places a hand to his chest while the wind flaps at his bandanna.

"i, the great sans, will solve this conundrum! then we can both proceed! meanwhile, feel free to solve this puzzle by yourself."

You nod and smile, turning back to the puzzle and placing a hand on your chin. You circle around the snow mounds and study the layout, before tracing a path that would turn all the x's to o's. Getting to work quickly, you maneuvered your way through the puzzle and exit with all the x's as o's. Stepping on the button, you turn to Sans and see him staring at you in shock.

"wow, you solved it... and you did it all without my help... incredible! i'm impressed!"

You blush a little and rub the back of your neck, "Oh, it was nothing!"

Sans goes up to you with stars in his eyes, "you must care about puzzles like i do! i am sure you will love the next puzzle then!" He pokes your side like you did to him earlier, "it might even be too easy for you! mweh! heh heh! heheheheheh!"

And he runs off again, leaving you a blushing mess, silently squealing at how cute he is.
