Fire and Ice. Water and Blood. Light and Dark. After the US is destroyed and members of the same community turn on each other, the mayor, made two sides, red and blue. And on the birthday of each teenagers fifteenth birthday, she or he can stay or go to the other side. It's their discussion. Amelia Ernest Greenfield, a gifted artist and freshman at the Blue side's Blueberry High, knows exactly which side she will choose. But it will lead to her family's grave disappointment. For she is choosing Red. As she counts down the month before her fifteenth birthday, strange events come into Amelia's life, one by one. After making friends with a mathematic outcast, Amelia realizes strange things about her past, mostly involving her parents. What side for her?
