Kats POV

I stood at my front door wearing a knee length red dress, a bit of makeup, and I had even straightened my hair. Tonight my friends and I were going to the most popular party of the year. None of us had ever been invited to any or mikes yearly parties before, but people talked about them for weeks afterwords. I was especially excited because Logan was going to be there because he was Mike's best friend. Once we hit high school I was hoping to get closer to Logan but he just kind of went his own way. A silver van pulled into my drive way.

"Get in", Kate yelled at me.

Kate was the only one in my small group of friends that was able or wanted to drive. I sat in the front seat next to Kate, Lizzy and her boyfriend Chris sat in the middle, and Holly and her girlfriend Clara sat in the back.

"That's a pretty dress", Lizzy remarked.

"Yeah I like it", holly agreed.

"Thanks", I said, "Am a I wearing to much makeup"?

"Looks fine", Holly said.

"Aiden will love it", Kate said smiling.

I turned bright red. Kate turned on the radio and we all starting singing along to songs except for Lizzy who was resting her head on Chris shoulder. Then Chris started singing and Lizzy pulled her head off him alarmed.

"Come on Lizzy", Chris elbowed her.

"Your missing out on all the fun", Holly said.

"Isn't the party 'all the fun'", Kate said.

Lizzy rolled her eyes and started singing with the rest of us.

"Is the house", Clara asked?

A bunch of people our age some a little younger some a little older were all walking around outside, "must be", I said.

We parked on the side of the road and all hoped out the car. There was a dance floor, a DJ, a bunch of snacks, pizza, and even a keg of beer.

"Kate just don't drink. We don't want to die", Holly said.

"Well duh everyone knows you don't drink and drive", Kate said.

"Doesn't mean they don't do it", Clara said.

"So the rest of can drink just not Kate", Chris said half joking.

"Exactly", Holly said.

"Guys that's illegal", Lizzy said.

We all turned and looked at her.

"Sorry. Drink as much as you want. Just not you Kate", Lizzy said.

"Don't worry Lizzy I'm not going to drink", I said.

"I'm not either", Holly said.

Just then we spotted a familiar figure holding a cup of beer and she was obviously drunk.

"Oh my god is that Jane", Holly asked?

"Yeah I think so", Kate replied.

"I'm not surprised she's drinking", Lizzy said.

"I wonder how many cups she's had", Holly  said.

"To many", I answered.

"Who's Jane", Clara asked mainly to Holly?

"She used to go to our school. We were best friends in 7th grade. She was constantly getting in trouble and stuff", Holly answered.

"She was horrible", Lizzy said.

"In 8th grade she pretty much lost all her friends", Holly continued.

"We should try to find Logan", I suggested.

"And find you a date", Lizzy said looking right at Kate.

"Okay will split into two groups", Clara said.

"The manhunters and the finding logan people", Holly said.

"We probably shouldn't be man hunters", Clara said to Holly laughing.

Holly  smiled and started laughing as well. It took me a little while to get the joke.

"Okay so I guess Kat, Clara, and Holly are looking for Logan. We'll meet back here in an hour", Lizzy said.

"Okay", Holly said.

I walked deeper into the crowd Clara and Holly trailing behind me.

"So what's this guy look like", Clara asked?

"Um red dyed hair brown eyes I think. He should be easy to find because of his hair", Holly responded.

"Yeah and he's really hot", I added.

Holly rolled her eyes. We went over to where the pizza was and grabbed a few slices.

"Logan should be near bye", I said.

"Doesn't he like love pizza", Holly said.

"Is that him", Clara asked pointing to a guy talking to mike?

"I think so", I smiled.

He turned around and sure enough it was him. Now I just had to talk to him.
