Chapter 2.

The return of the wild

Her counselor shot herself. She fell on the ground, dead. The bullet shot right through the wall, making a small hole. Sandy pried it open with her fingernails. Sandy then knew her counselor was trying to protect Sandy, and get her out. Sandy slipped through the hole, and darted to the door, quick as a mouse, running for its life. Sandy ran towards a field, and looked behind her. A cop was chasing her. Her animal instincts clicked. She noticed a slanted piece of ground, 'a hill!' sandy thought. She swiftly ran up the hill, panting at the top, her breath shaky in the winter wind. She quickly looked behind her and jumped... It wasn't a hill. It was a cliff. She fell about 50 feet, into the ground.

She leaped up, wounded, and ran to the forest. She sat down, no cop following her anymore. She cried into her knees. Sandy was back, the animal was gone. She felt a sharp pain in her back. She knew the feel from anywhere. A knife. She whipped out her own and slashed the attacker. She pried the other knife out of her back. She held one knife in each hand, as daggers. The attacker fell on their knees, holding their cheek. They looked up and dodged Sandy's next hit. They fell to the ground. Sandy kneeled down and decided to integgrogate the attacker, "What're you doing," Sandy hissed at them.

They wearily stood up to reach her eye level, well, higher. Their voice was shaky, "I thought you were a bad guy, or something," They fell back on the ground, still hoding their cheek. Sandy would not forgive, "Well I wasn't," She growled menacingly. "I-I'm sorry..." Sandy's back straigheted. She helped The stranger onto their feet, "I'm sorry I cut you," Sandy said forgivingly. Then Sandy fell to the ground, with a sudden shock on pain from her wounds, "Oh my goodness! Are you okay! You need an ambulance!" The stranger panicked, and picked her up, and and started running through the forest. "No!" Sandy protested. "Yes, you need a doctor! What did you do to get so wounded?!" Sandy growled, "I fell fifty feet, and put me down! I can't go back!" The stranger stopped, "Why?" Sandy scowled, "I have to hide." The stranger's eyes widened, "A-are you a criminal?!" Sandy sighed, "I have animal instincts. They pop up whenever, and if they do, run away from me,"

The stranger shook their head, "I would never run away!" The stranger sanitized her wounds with supplies from her first aid kit. she wrapped them up, and set her down to rest. A couple hours later, Sandy woke up. "Thank you," Sandy sat up, rubbing her eyes. Sandy stopped. Her eyes widened, and her facial features perked up. "Attacker." Sandy whispered, careful to stay hidden. She squinted. She felt a hand on her shoulder. The anima inside was back. Sandy bit the person, and Sandy was back. She grabbed her knife and stabbed the attacker's stomach, sending them to the ground. She knelt down and snarled. She stabbed her knife in the back of the attacker's head, and left the boy to decay. The friendly stranger returned with berrier for breakfast. She smiled, and Sandy hissed. The stranger dropped the berries, and ran. 'The animal instincts!' She thought, as she ran for her life. But Sandy was too qick. Sandy bit her leg, and she screamed. Sandy grabbed her other knife and twirled it in her hand, snarling. The stranger limped, trying to run. Sandy dropped the knife.

She was back, and normal. Sandy covered her mouth and ran the other way, crying. The stranger fell on the ground, trying to drag herself to a hospital. She looked behind her, flipping her hair out of the way. Her arms failed her, and her hair returned to the front of her face. She tried to move, but realized she was stuck. She died of blood loss. Sandy realized she had harmed the stranger, so she darted back, "Are you okay!" She yelled as she slowed down, "N-n-no!" Sandy saw the dead body on the ground. "I'm sorry!" Sandy cried into her hands. Sandy grabbed the knife and ran away, back to the city. Vowing revenge on everybody.
