Chapter 2.
Victory registered, pride aside.

Victory registered, pride aside.

Cinnamon followed Iris and Beryl through the thorn barrier around Evermore, during the fight with the lion she had gotten a scratch and some bruises, she was probably going to be sore alll day. Beryl was a black/purple Raven with scarred beak, and Iris was a Komodo dragon with violet eyes. "Some fight, eh? Probs going to be sore!" Beryl laughed, his feathers ruffling as he landed on Iris's shoulders, despite her frightening appearance, she was gentle at heart. "True is that!" Cinnamon sighed, Dragonsear had always been a problem, always will be. That walked through to the entrance to the land and into the leafy forests and grasslands of Evermore, Evermore's weather was pretty steady, Dragonsear's weather was more raging and random, one day a volcano erupts, the next, a blizzard or a cyclone, Cinnamon would never get how Dragonsear would survive a day. Life was as hard in Evermore though, predators couldn't hunt as much, since prey animals usually populated the land in flourishing numbers. Cinnamon climbed up to her little nest in the great Willow, next to Bur, one of her many freinds, who was a panther. "How was the fight? Did you win?" Bur asked, "yes I won! I had to fight a lion though, atleast Dragonsear retreated!" Cinnamon laughed, "that's great! But...did you hear? There is a illness spreading in Evermore, the healers don't know what to do! What if we catch it!!" But started to panic, "calm down! We won't catch it, don't worry bur." Cinnamon comforted her freind, they both soon were asleep.

Beryl looked down from the branch she stood on, it was dream land, called Zodia. Zodia was a haven for all animals, rarely some visit it, though. Beryl wondered what the spirits wanted to tell him. He flew down to see Iris and Cinnamon at the bottom. "what are you doing in my dream!" He asked, "we're having the same dream! The spirits of Zodia want to tell us something!" Iris cheered happily. "HEY!! Evermore kids!" Three Dragonsear animals stepped out of the undergrowth, a black Lynx, a upright-standing wolf, and a black squirrel. "This is our dream!" The Lynx snarled. "I'm Beryl of Evermore and the last time I checked this was my dream!!" He squawked viciously, "well, 'Beryl of Evermore' I'm Thorn of Dragonsear and I'll kill you in one!" The wolf snarled, "fight me then!" Cinnamon stepped up.

"Break it up!" A transparent white wolf stepped between them, her glassy blue eyes flitting from Evermore to Dragonsear. Iris couldn't believe her eyes, it was Xara, the white wolf. Her mother was from Evermore, her father from Dragonsear. She was banished from both lands, since she could not be one or the other. Iris thought she was just a legend. "Your...your Xara!" Iris hissed quietly. "True that." Xara continued, "I've come to send you on a journey" she barked. "Who? Dragonsear or Evermore?" The black Lynx meowed. "Both" Xara growled. "But that's impossible! Dragonsear and Evermore can't cooporate!" The black squirrel chirped in surprise, "to those who not know of foolish they are, young Crowfeather, cannot see the bond of thee who the two lands send" Xara spoke wisely, her pupil-less eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "You will go to thee land of lost, in search of what now has been found but never seen, a plant to heal the onslaught of disease, to do thee, six shall journey, seven shall come back" Xara pointed her muzzle to the moon, and let out a sorrow filled howl, wich many other wolves joined in, she faded away.

Great book, or rather part of it, I really got into this story. I even checked it for myself through https://essays.edubirdie.com/plagiarism-checker for plagiarism because at first it appeared that I had already read it somewhere. But all the same I think it was extremely well written, although a little corny as for me.
