Phoenix Isle

My great, great, great grandfather had started telling it to his kids and it became a tradition to tell as a bed time story. I wanted to keep it as original as possible so that whoever reads it would be reading an authentic piece of my history. I really hope that you enjoy reading this story.

Phoenix Isle
Chapter 3.

Anomaly of Phoenix Isle

According to my great great great grandfather, the Island had many peculiarities which were extremely noticeable at sight.  Many of which would be impossible to accurately, or even remotely, come close to describing.  The Island’s features appeared to defy many of the logical and assumed habitats that anyone could imagine would usually occur within the cold weather of the Arctic.  It had brown, sandy shores that were warm to the touch.  The sand surrounded a forest composed of trees with Teal colored leaves shaped like spiked hearts, Greenish-Orange trunks, and Orange branches.  Within the forest were Yellow plants sprouting flowers with multiple colors faded into each other.  There were all different types, sizes and shapes.
There were actual purple and blue bioluminescent star shaped lilies growing directly from the ground.  In the center of the Island is a field of Deep green grass surrounding a fairly sized lake.  The lake contained hundreds of caves within it.  No one has ever known how far or deep these caves went.  2 years after the Island, Dylan ended up in an accident and passed away.  Cyrus was the only one who was able to survive the Island and live the rest of his life afterwards.
