All Cana could do was stare.
"Oh, Sonata, you've started to figure it out... But That's only the beginning.", she said shakily, turning away from the awestruck Sonata and gazing out the window. "There will come a day when everything changes; A day of maturity. He's going to come back, Sonata, and there's nothing I can do to help. This is all my fault. If I hadn't been so selfish, this wouldn't have happened. I was far too young to understand. The crown should have gone to Eclipse, not one as naive as I."
Cana's friend stood there quietly. "Eclipse? That name sounds so familiar. Almost as if I've met her before."
The princess gave a solemn nod. "We are trapped in a never ending cycle of time. Forced to watch eachother suffer. All I want is to finally be at peace. But to do that, you need to defeat him." She bit her lip, her worried eyes like pools of water. She suddenly collapsed, throwing her arms around the boy's waist. "You have to kill him, Sonata! I don't want to go through this all again!" , she sobbed.
Shocked, Sonata nodded his head. "I promise to you, that the next time he comes, I will vanquish his evil spirit, and make sure that we can have a happy ending."
Though deep inside, he was unsure.
