Love at first sight

It was my birthday, I think, it was some sort of special occasion when I first saw Kaiser. My brother Velken had just awoken me, removing the blackout board from my window, "Anjelica! Up with you! Mama and Papa are waiting!" I trudged behind my brother, my eyes squeaking as I rubbed them, but I felt bright and breezy as soon as I smelt mama's homemade crepes! I quickened my trudge a little and ran to my mama and papa. "Alles Gute zum Geburtstag! Alles Gute zum Geburtstag!" chanted my mother and father, along with a little hum from Velken. "Anjelica dear," said my mama sweetly, "your papa and I have not been making as much money as we should have been this year, so this will explain why there is only one present, but we bought you the best thing we could with the money that we did have, so, go on, open it." she shooed me over to it, I lifted the present up and nearly dropped it, it was quite heavy, I looked back to see papa and Velken smirking, but my mama elbowing them both, "Go on darling, open it up." I slowly departed the top of the cardboard box and looked inside, at first I could not believe my eyes until I lifted the little fur ball out of the box. It was a German Shepherd puppy!
"Oh Mama, Papa, Velken!" I ran over to them all and gave them hugs and kisses, "Thank you so much! I will name her Asta!" my family looked at each other strangley, but my papa spoke up, "Ahh, delightful name little bear, but the puppy is a boy." I was shocked for a moment, as any 6 year old would be, but then I laughed, all of us did. I had never experienced true love before, one of the reasons was because I was 6 but I had never felt the way that I had felt with this beautiful German Shepherd, he was like a king; an emperor, I was somewhat fascinated with him. That was when I decided that he would be called Kaiser, ruler of all, emperor.
