In love
I looked at the high school with wonder. It was amazing! Colossal white pillars supported gray lockers, and the dotted walls were spotted with lamps. A speaker above a pretty moral of a man and a cow boomed: "Welcome, students!" And I put a pair of ballet flats in my locker, and pinned a few photos of my friends from Pressman High, my old school. I stuffed my sweater and my clutch into it, and then pushed a few books. That followed my red water bottle, a pink hairbrush, a few hairbands, a photo of Justin Timberlake, and a few nail polish bottles. Sarah insisted I brought those.I received a recorder from Music and a free paint set from a few teens, so I filled up my locker with those too. On my way to lunch, I knocked my way into a cute boy. "Hi," I said, following his "I'm so, so sorry." We both grinned, and I took him to a lunch table where we talked away. We started to kiss then stopped. "I don't know..." I said. "I met you today." The boy, Jake, rolled his eyes, and said, "Whatever." Then i got his number and he texted me with cute emojis asking me to go that night to a basketball game. "Did you ask me out?" I asked. "I just did," he grinned, and we had fun in the snack bar, biting into hot dogs.
"I love you," I said after, and then covered my mouth in astonishment. "Wait. Forget what I just said." "But I love you too," he said. I opened my mouth and we hugged. I went home very, very, very happy. I danced through the halls into my favorite pajamas and continued my pink cotton candy dream, this time including him eating the candy with me.
