Curious. Very curious indeed!
Mr. Lupin is taking us to get our school books and stuff. Since I lost my wand, I have to get a brand new one. I don't mind since it's really quick and easy. We got all of our stuff and we're getting my wand now."You guys can wait outside. I'll only be a minute." I tell them.
I walk into the shop, Ollivanders, and ring the bell. A man comes out of the back room and smiles.
"Ah, now I was wondering if I would ever meet you, Miss Collins. Which wand should we try first?" He wasn't really talking to me, but more to himself.
He looks at each shelf carefully. He carefully picks a box and brings it over.
I reach to pick up the wand, but it rolls away.
"Apparently not." He takes a different one and lays it on the table, "Try this one."
This one shocks me. And so it continues for what feels like ages.
"I wonder. It's not likely, but maybe. Let's try."
He takes a long thin box out and lays the box on the table. I look at him and he gives me a nod of encouragement. I reach over and open the box carefully. Inside is the prettiest wand I've ever seen. It is dark blue, with a red rose at the bottom and leaf patterns all along the handle. I move forward for a better look and it rises up in front of my face in a horizontal position with the handle facing me and the tip away from me as if it wants me to hold it.
I thank and pay him then leave. I tell my sisters and Mr. Lupin about my experience.
"That is quite strange. It is very pretty though." Jennifer comments.
*The next day*
We woke up and got ready to start at our new school. Mr. Lupin took Penelope and me to the train station because Jennifer was out looking for a job. We had to run through a wall. It was cool. Now Penny and I are sitting in a compartment together. I'm reading and she's drawing.
Little did we know, our lives are about to get a bit more exciting.
