Dad

Crystal and I were chatting for hours. I forgot all about my dad!
He got home at 7. He came in and slammed the door behind him. Crustal and I quickly got up and looked over at him.
He looked mad for a second then smiled and said "Crystal, how you been?"
What happened to my dad? Why is he happy? Not mad? I'm not so sure of this...
"Fine, daddy!" Crystal replied to him with a hug.
His smile disappeared. And he said "good, now you can stay home and make me dinner"
"Dad, I actually just came to say hi, Mark and I already bought a nice home downtown" she said.
I just sat down and listened to their conversation. It went like this...
"Who's this Mark guy?" My dad asked Crystal angrily.
"He's been my boyfriend since the 8th grade, dad. If you cared enough for me and April, then you should pay more attention in our lives!" She yelled back. Oh no, don't get me into this!
He looked furious. I could tell what was coming next. Instead of saying something back, he just pushed her down and started beating her. He saw me trying to leave and he pushed me down and started beating me too.
We were both crying and begging for mercy when he just stopped and said "make me dinner, I'm starving"
Crystal and I were officially scared. So, we did as told. We worked together to make burgers for him. He ate then without giving us a second glance. As soon as he was done he went to the living room and fell asleep watching football.
I nodded at Crystal and we went up to my room. When I opened the door she noticed how small my room was because she whispered "April, you can't be living in a room smaller then a closet"
"Compared to what you've lived with aunt Julie, it's small to you" I whispered back.
We went in and she began to look around. First, my size twin bed. Then my "closet" which was just a box with clothes. And then my chair which was just a bunch of pillows stacked up on one another. She was now done.
"April, you need to come with me" she said looking back at my room. Should I stay or leave with Crystal?
