The Beginning
Our world is in danger. It's falling apart and all of the people are dying. Our only chance: the seven gods! Each continent is being destroyed bit by bit but for each one of these continents; there is one god. One god who protects us, keeps us fom dying, but each year the seven gods get hungry. But the only thing they eat are humans, so each year a boy or a girl, a man or a woman is chosen to be sacrificed and eaten by the gods so that they will protect us.My name is Curtis, I'm 15 years old and I live in the United States.
Today something horrible happened to me, I was chosen, chosen to be sacrificed. My best friends Luke and Steve couldn't believe it. „ No you can't, you can't have been chosen!“ Steve angrily shouted. „But I was chosen, Steve! I know it's hard for all of us, to leave each other and never speak to each other again but I have to be eaten otherwise, you guys will die and I don't want that!“ I said. „No, we won't let you be sacrificed! We will protect you, Curtis! After all we are best friends!“ Luke said. I sighed. Why did they have to be so hard headed? „You guys aren't going to let me die that easily?“ I asked. „No!“ they both said at the same time.
