how can I be less shy around people?

I was shy too but it's best to be the first to talk even if it's nerve wrecking just say something nice like Hey I like your t shirt where did u get it?

i am shy too but for me the best thing is to have a good time and you will forget you are shy. if that does not help just try to get a little crazy
