Do you think a person must experience dysphoria in order to be transgender?

I think so, I mean that's literally the only way you could be trans. If not I'd just assume you're a transtrender or fetishising transgender people.

Yes. If they didn't experience dysphoria, they wouldn't want to be the opposite gender.

I mean, if a person is completely comfortable in their body then ... why *would* they be trans? I don't really know how to say what I mean but if you're happy with the body you were born in and are fine with presenting that way then that's being cis. If you don't experience gender dysphoria then it's probably more that you are more masculine or feminine than what one might expect of your sex. I'm trans and I can't see why someone would say they are if they're not gender dysphoric.

No...? They were born in the wrong body, that's it.

But isn't dysphoria the state in which your mind is different from your body? From my understanding, your two statements contradict each other.

Wtf does dysphoria mean? If someone is trans, they are trans. They were born in the wrong body and thats final.

Please look up the definition to gain a better understanding before commenting on things, dude, like that's literally what dysphoria is.

Definitely not. Some trans men are perfectly fine with having their AFAB sex characteristics, and same with trans women. And what about nonbinary people? What are they supposed to feel? Like void? I'm genderqueer and I feel perfectly fine in my body (not saying that all genderqueer people do not experience dysphoria). You are not the transgender gatekeeper. Don't force out trans people just looking for an accepting community.

If you don't know what dysphoria is then don't comment, at least learn what it is and then actually formulate an opinion. Don't guess.

Definition of gender dysphoria. Literally what you guys have been saying it is yet contradicting yourself because you didn't what the f*cking word meant.

All in all, this whole discussion is just a point of view thing. You view my argumentative nature as potentially aggressive, and me not wanting to f*cking congratulate people on guessing something and getting lucky.

If what I type might seem aggressive, it's generally not meant to be. And like people should know this stuff already, I mean damn, if you support the LGBTQA+ community you should learn things pertaining to that community. Also I haven't been telling anybody off?? I've responded to two people. I've tried to be courteous but I'm unfortunately a naturally aggressive See More▼

Y'know, if we were using it right without knowing, I think the proper response would be to congratulate us for guessing it right rather than just confirming the definition whilst restating we initially didn't know this to begin with in a possibly aggressive manner. I'm sorry, but it just seems a little much just to go around and tell us off for not knowing the See More▼

Is dysphoria the surgery, or something else?

I believe it's not being happy with something??

Gender dysphoria is feeling as if you're in the incorrect body gender-wise
