Why do most cars have speedometers that go up to at least 130 when you legally can't go that fast on any road?

So far, it seems to be a teez for those without a prrsonal race track. For criminals, maybe, for rich people, I don't quite know though. I truely wonder why they put such strong motors that allow cars to go so much faster on the road. As you asked, and stated, it's illigal to go even half some speedometers. I wonder what other's theories on this subject will be like.

You never know when you may actually need to go that fast... That's what I think at least. :)
