If you were to send a werewolf to the moon, would he be a werewolf permanently?

No. Its not the moon itself, but the time of the full moon.
Ive noticed some werewolves, weather they look at the moon or not, are werewolves, not when they look at it. Its more of a timing to trigger it than the moon.
Basically the full moon is a timer for werewolves
