Why do people take other people so seriously on here?

Take me for example, I always get judged on my purely joke-based comments. WHY?!

Well naturally, we as a community tend to judge other. In general, it's a natural instinct as a living being. And the community seems to be on edge these, especially with politics, slang, equality problems, and personal problems.
Unfortunately, it's difficult to counter this as an individual, but all you have to do is stay positive- it's easy for me to say, but don't let the judges get you down. :)
If you want a more opinionated answer, I'd say that not everyone can take a joke, See More▼

Plus on the internet, it can be hard to tell what people mean by something. Like what manner they might mean it in since this is merely words, text on a screen, rather than actually speaking to each other. Sometimes it can be hard for people to see what the tone used is, if that makes any sense.

Once I published a quiz on here about how gross/messy people are and everyone said it was mean, but I don't make any of my quizzes offensive. I know I sound stupid and ignorant, but I hate it when people take stuff so seriously when it's meant to be a joke. The quiz I made was supposed to be funny.

Yeah I know that too. Caps, startle me.
Or at least cussing, too. I wish people would not take EVERYTHING wrong. Ghost hugs. *^*
