This one is a tough one. Yes and no.
I mean, if we have a cure for some illness, we need to make sure that it fully works.
If it is for something dumb and irrational, no.

Totally. Testing makeup on animals, for example, is unnecessary and can be cruel. Testing a revolutionary cancer cure? That's a totally different story.
