What is everyones opnions on Alicorn OC's?
Anyway, i've seen a LOT of alicorn OC's here. If you don't know what an OC means, it's an Orginal Character. An Alicorn is a pegasus unicorn mix from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Personally, I dislike Alicorn OC's. The reason why is because you can't just have a random alicorn OC with no back story..How did it become in alicorn? So far in MLP, Twilight became an alicorn because she mastered a spell not even Starswirl the bearded(correct me if i'm wrong for his name) couldn't do. In the show, Princess Cadence wasn't even an alicorn to begin with. She was a pegasus. She became an alicorn because she harnessed the power of love, thus being granted a horn. ((Theres a book on how she became one.))
Anyway, what do you guys think of Alicorn OC's? I'd love to know everyones opnion!

Like omg Alicorn OCs annoy me. It's like they're godmodding. jUST CHOOSE. HORN OR WINGS. And like seriously, a lot of the OCs are Alicorns. x_x I just *table flip*

I don't like them unless someone has a backstory for them. (which is weird considering I have an alicorn OC with no decided backstory.... ^.^U Oops, I'm being hypocritical!) I don't like it when people do things like that just so they can be powerful. I hardly ever use Princess Alia in my roleplays, in fact I've never used her even once! My little sister has an alicorn OC too, and that one is supposed to be a forgotten princess who wanders the land....

It annoys me when people say: " My pony is an Alicorn because I wanted to have a cool pony" or " I couldn't decide between a horn or wings" ALICORNS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE RARE!!! Pegasi are still awesome AND unicorns!

Yeah, my OC is not an Alicorn but it's a Pegasus and I also get pretty envious that other OCs are Alicorns for no reason.

not exactly,i hear that in season 4 they are going to have an episode where twilight asks cadence on advice about being a princess in which cadence will tell twiley how she got her horn!

I think it's nice but you know I think Princess Cadence should have earned her horn, I mean just because she has the power of love, she becomes an alicorn. So any pony that has the power of love can become an alicorn? Stupid

amplified Cadence's power of love, and she soon defeated Prismia with her incredible gift for love and compassion. Once Prismia was done with her evil ways, Cadence was transported to a strange place ((I think it might be where Twilight went when she became an Alicorn.)) where nopony had ever gone, and only Celestia. So when Celestia found Cadence, her fate See More▼ was sealed. The princess brought her back to Canterlot to raise Cadence as her Royal Neice.

In the book, 'Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell' (SPOILER WARNING)
When Cadence was a filly, she was found by a villiage of Earth Ponies, and they took her in as their own filly. Cadence had love and compassion for others, and the villagers had cared See More▼ and protected her greatly. Though, an evil pony named 'Prismia' lived alone near the villiage and came out of her home and had jelousy for the Cadence and how they loved her so much. Prismia had a powerful necklace she always wore, which she cared about a lot. It had amplified the evil things inside her own heart. Then, one day, the amulet had finally over took her. Prismia had cast a spell over the villiage and took all the love from their homes. She wanted to get some of the love for herself every pony was sad. Cadence then descided that she could not let that happen. So, she went to see Prismia. Luckily, the power of Prismia's evil necklace/amule
