@Banksy.Rat You right, it gets difficult to differentiate the societal and civic issues for me with the LGBT community because they intertwine more so than with other topics.

@Banksy.Rat But cishet ace/aro people don't really make the choice to not be sexually active, a lot genuinely can't build the will do to so because it repulses them so.
They also face a lot if hate and discrimination due to societal stigmas that someone just *has* to have sexual intercourse with someone. It's often stressed in marriages and their sexualities See More aren't respected, they struggle with having equal rights for what they sexually identify with as well.
Don't get me wrong lots of heterosexual people can refrain from sex with other people, but it's different when someone actually is asexual versus someone just being abstinent. Let's say nuns. They can't identify as asexual because they usually still experience attraction to other people.
It's just people who have have created a bad name for ace people because people who actually consensually still yet participate in sexual activities with other people and "claim" Asexuality.
