So I don’t know what’s going on but I just got sent home from band practice for something that literally happened in January. (I think)
The directors took me out of lunch, and told me to go home and meet with me and my mom once camp is over today. I don’t know what I did really, and I’m just confused and upset. They threatened to kick me out of band for it and I’m really scared...

I actually really want to go vegan, but it's just hard to always eat plant-based meals when all my family makes are meat-centered meals. I can't just eat green beans and potatoes for every meal, but I also can't convince them to go out to eat every meal so I can order vegan food. My family does do a "vegan night" sometimes, but the food is always terrible bc I find all my recipes online, which is sketchy. (btw, cauliflower alfredo sauce tastes like ass, do not make it)
I'll probably See More go vegan when I move out when I can actually choose what I eat 100% of the time.
I have nothing against people who eat meat, or eggs, or dairy products, I just want to be healthier and not support the huge companies controlling what we eat.

I don't, as my mom insists on doing it, and I rarely have time to even tag along as I'm usually at practice/school whenever she goes.
And (getting a little preachy here), my mom only buys stuff on sale, and refuses to let anyone buy anything not on sale, and grocery stores (at least where I am) never have sales on fresh produce and healthy See More foods, just meat, and sugary and fatty foods. It's a really awful process, these companies are practically forcing the people with less money to eat less healthy, just leading to a cycle of obesity, poverty, medical issues, etc.

Have you tried buying your own groceries? At every house I've crashed at over the past few years, I've been buying my own groceries which gives me a lot of control over my diet. It's also good to practice that lifeskill before getting a place of your own.
