Small rant

Today in gym we were playing a rip off volleyball game called Nukeum(it's stupid jfc) and someone threw a volleyball and it hit one of the coaches faces then hit one of our other coach, who's pregnant and stuff. I looked at them just as the ball hit them and my friend had just told me a joke so I was laughing. When the ball his the coach, I laughed but more nervously and literally asked "are you okay?" Our pregnant coach then yelled at me for laughing "at her". I wasn't See More laughing at her, and when I see people get hurt, I laugh nervously. Just be glad I asked if you were all right. Then the other coach stopped the game and yelled to the class "if you see a ball about to hit someone, say heads up" and she glanced at me. So the comment was directed towards me, who didn't even realize a ball was about to hit our coaches who weren't paying attention. Our third coach was literally chill af the whole time and didn't give a shit.
I don't understand why when someone gets hurt and someone supposedly laughs, they automatically assume you're laughing at them. It doesn't always work that way, so don't always assume someone is laughing at you.
Tbh, I felt really awful after that and still do. I feel like a huge asshole because of it.
