Laura and Ryan
Laura’s POVMy baby was dead. My ex was a murderer and Ryan wouldn’t even speak to me. I had tried to call him but with no success. He had stood up for me against Gabe. He had hit Gabe, yet he still didn’t show. I could understand how shocked he must have felt. How betrayed, but what he didn’t understand was how much I needed him right now. The thought of what could have been my baby, dead and flouting inside of me made me sick with rage. I didn’t know what had happened to Samantha either. Ryan had called her. I had seen him just as I started to black out, but she had never come. I was worried about her but mostly I was worried about Ryan and whether he would ever speak to me again.
Ryan’s POV
I needed to get some anger out. I was still angry after the events on Saturday even though I had managed to get some of it out on that Gabe kid. He deserved what he got. I was at Darcy’s, gaming. I did it a lot when I was angry. I needed to.
“You know you should probably call Laura man. She needs you” Darcy instructed.
“Oh don’t pretend to be Mr Perfect. Why aren’t you with Samantha right now?” I asked, annoyed.
“What do you want me to do? She lied to me man. I hate liars!” I said.
“Did she? Think about it. Did she really lie to you? Did you even ask her?”
“No but she should have told me. That’s the same as lying” I said but as I said it I knew it wasn’t right. Once again Darcy was right. That’s why we were mates. He kept me from ruining my life and I made sure his wasn’t boring. Not that he was a boring person, he just made the right decisions. I made the stupid decisions. The night I first met Laura I was so tempted to sleep with her. To take advantage of her, but I rang Darcy who shook some sense into me. I’m so glad I didn’t. Even if she was a liar (which she wasn’t), I slowly got to know her in a way I would not of if I had slept with her.
