A Powerful Ally
Midoryia has been talking for the past five minutes while we wait for the final round of the exercise to begin. He's discussing strategies to bypass (L/N) and her quirk.
"Okay, I have a solid plan." He says.
"Sure," I reply, "what is it?"
"When the exercise begins, you head inside and distract her. Keep your distance and keep making walls of ice for as long as you can. I'll sneak around through the second entrance and get up to Sero and Ashido. If you need help, just use the earpiece." He says.
"Okay, let's do it."
All Might announces the commencement of the exercise, so our plan goes into action. (L/N) immediately jumps into action. She charges me from the corner. Thankfully, Midoryia took the other exit. Or else, we'd both be caught here. I jump back, creating walls of ice. She easily breaks through them and tries to get closer using her energy quirk.
Slowly, I can tell that she realizes that Midoryia is nowhere to be found. Her eyes darken. They get so dark that I'm frozen in shock.
She turns to the stairs, losing interest in me. I attempt to follow and stop her from getting to Midoryia. She blasts kinetic energy towards me. It creates a thick cloud of smoke that she disappears behind.
I tap my earpiece, "Midoryia-kun, (L/N)-chan is on the move. She's after you."
"Copy," The boy replies, "Try to catch her by surprise."
When I finally get up the stairs, Midoryia and (L/N) are fighting. The green-haired boy is thankfully holding his own against her. Somehow, she notices me. She runs down a nearby hallway, disappearing from sight. We use the chance to get to the next level, but suddenly, (L/N) comes through a window on the third level.
She kicks Midoryia to the ground. To give him some time, I attempt to create a wall of ice around him. The (H/C)-haired girl sees this coming and moves to Midoryia, so the boy is cut off from me.
Soon enough, Midoryia punches the girl before I even need to help him. She crashes through the ice wall. When she lands, we think the fight just might be over.
Instead, the girl gets up and takes a moment to wipe the blood from her now cut lip. She grins at the two of us.
"Thank you.."
It's then that we both realize that the amount of kinetic energy from Midoryia's punch could create such a large explosion that the entire building could fall.
But real villains wouldn't do that...right?
She charges me, grabbing my arm and twirling me around so my back is to her and my face is towards Midoryia.
"Come any closer and Todoroki-kun dies!" She yells.
Somehow, (L/N) manages to sound just as creepy as a real villain. Her eyes look even darker than earlier, in a way.
"Leave him alone!" Midoryia replies, "He has a family to go home to."
"But he has to go back."
She stiffens, "Why?"
"He has to prove himself."
'Midoryia-kun, what the hell are you doing?' I think to myself.
Understanding what the green-haired boy meant, (L/N) drops me. Once I hit the ground, I realize that she's drained my energy just from the skin contact. I feel as if I'm going to pass out. Midoryia thankfully comes to my aid. Before he can even make contact with me, the floor beneath us falls in. (L/N) is nowhere to be found, but I can tell that this is her doing.
With a loud thud, us heroes hit the floor below where we were originally standing, as well as the other debris. I see the flash of our enemies' face as she smiles and heads to the next level. Midoryia and I recuperate. I take a few deep breaths and exercises to keep myself awake, then, we head to the next level. (L/N) isn't visible, so we head to the level where Sero and Ashido are waiting.
The two villains stand directly beside the fake missile, but again, (L/N) is nowhere to be found. We decide to face the two villains instead of searching. Midoriya attempts to charge up his quirk, but a certain (H/C)-haired girl jumps out from the shadows. She lands directly in front of us. We attempt to strike her. I even try to burn her. Instead, we can't even move.
"Don't try," She warns, "I'm using my kinetic energy to hold you two in place. Also, Todoroki-kun, you shouldn't even be fighting."
"Huh?" I reply, "Why?"
"Your arm."
I glance down. On my arm, there's the string that means I'm out of the exercise. Midoryia stares at the girl in front of us in shock. Both of us failed to notice that she'd slipped it on while I was captured. Slowly, she approaches Midoryia.
Before she can slip the string onto him, he begins to charge up his quirk again. The green electricity explodes around the two of us. (L/N)'s kinetic energy field cracks. Small pieces of red from it line the floor. She groans under her breath, getting off the floor and charging him.
She covers herself in kinetic energy. This creates a shield to protect her from our punches. Midoryia attempts to punch her, but she just gains more power from it. Honestly, she might have the strongest quirk out of class 1-A, at least. It has so many uses it's unbelievable. The (E/C)-eyed girl lightly pokes his shoulder, and he gets thrown into the wall directly behind him. An audible groan is heard as (L/N) walks to the green-haired hero and ties the string around his finger.
"The Hero versus Villain exercise is now over," All Might tells us over the PA, "Please meet in the observation room."
