All I could remember after that was waking up in the hospital bed, my parents by my side. I asked them what happened. They told me that my boyfriend Max, who was driving the car that night after the party, had crashed into an 18-wheeler truck because he was drunk. The car had rolled over several times before finally stopping in the middle of the highway.
