Steven Universe Lapis and the HomeWorld Gems: Escape to Earth

The treacherous find

Peridot rested at the control panel of the great helicopter, with a diamond symbol on it, over looking HomeWorld. Below she saw tons of Gems, big and small, all at an area where the Diamond, Yellow Diamond, stood. She was too busy proclaiming of the trip to Earth they were planning to notice Peridot hovering around.
A short blue Gem stood close to Yellow Diamond, raising her hand, then when called on, asking a question.
"Yes, Lapis Lazuli?" Yellow Diamond's servant, Topaz, asked.
"Well, can I go on this mission?"
Then Yellow Diamond cut in. "Why, you'd be of no help whatsoever!"
The other Gems laughed.
"Now, Agate on the other hand, would be great!" Yellow Diamond added.
Lapis watched as the big, buff giant Gem walked past her.
Lapis thought of how she could show she was strong in the real way. (sorry, I couldn't resist adding that!)

Along her bright blue door, Lapis heard another Gem knocking outside it. Lapis answered the door, to find Moonstone standing there.
"Hello, Moonstone-" Lapis was cut off as the Gem rushed inside.
"There's no time!"
"what?" Lapis couldn't understand what Moonstone was talking about.
"They want Gem recruits on their mission, and they chose me!"
"Well, lucky you!" Lapis said, jealously.
"You mean not lucky me!" she said. "Do you know how dangerous this mission is?"
Then, someone else knocked on Lapis' door.
Another Gem, Nuummite, stood there, along with Amber. "We're looking for Moonstone!" Amber exclaimed. "She's not here, is she?"
"Oh, not at all!" Lapis said, trying to protect her friend.
When they left, Lapis shut the door behind them.
"Oh thank you, Lapis! Thank you for protecting me!" Moonstone said happily. "How could I ever repay you?"
"Well, there is one thing..."

When Moonstone got to town square, she noticed the two Gems who visited Lapis' house last night.
"Hello, Nuummite and Amber." she exclaimed.
"Hey! Your Moonstone! Also, the one we couldn't catch last night!" Nuummite said angrily.
"Well, I do know another Gem who'd be happy to go on this mission!"
Moonstone exclaimed that Lapis Lazuli wanted to goon the mission, and they approved, along with Yellow Diamond.
