Chapter 3.

The Rooms

"Alright now that everyone is here, can we check out the rooms now." Arthur said as he placed on of this bags on the ground, and gently rotated his shoulder. Alex wrapped her arm around Matthew and grinned. "Yeah I was stuck in a bag for hours, so I'd like to see the fabulous rooms." She said looking around, questioning why there were so many mirrors. Matthew tried to push Alex's arm off of him, but it wouldn't budge.
Alfred sighed as he pointed the the stairs and grinned widely. "Then come on dudes, the rooms are upstairs." He said as he began walking over to the stairs, not stopping to see if they were following or not. Arthur quickly grabbed his bag and started following. "Slow down you git, we don't know the house well enough for you to go running off!" He shouted, already feeling a headache form. Francis gave a small smile to Matthew, then gracefully began to follow the others. His throat was still burning slightly, but it didn't matter. He brought many bottles of wine, hopefully that will wash out the taste. Skylar made a psh noise and started eating her chips. "I already know this place like the back of my hand. By the way, Alex, our room sucks ass. Alfred wasn't ready for us so our room doesn't have anything special....sup Hat." She said nodding her head up to Matthew, who drooped his shoulders and ducked his head. "I'm not a hat..." He said softly as he began to lift the bags again, only have have Alex pick up the bag she was in.
"Come on, I want to check this shit out! Let's go Mattie..you too bitch." Alex said looking at Skylar, she stopped eating the chips, half of the chip she was eating was sticking out of her mouth. "Rude ass, I might be a bitch, but don't call me a bitch." Skylar muttered as she began eating again, following them upstairs. Alex was looking around like a child. Leaning over the rail and looking down into the living room. "Wow you could do so much shit up here." She said as she looked at Skylar. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" She asked, Skylar looked over, then down into the living room. "You two aren't throwing anyone down there." Matthew stated the moment we both smiled. "Oh come on Mattie!" Alex said, Skylar slowly slid a Honey Butta chip across Matthews lips. "Shh, if we do it you can't tell anyone." She said, Matthew almost said something, only to get more chips in his mouth.
Alfred walked down the hallway, there was another table with a flower vase down the end of it. "Alright dudes, this is the intersection. The bathroom is right there." He pointed to the right. The hallway had the guest room in the back, but in the front was the other bathroom. "Down there is Arthur and Francis." Alfred said as he pointed down the left hallway, there wasn't a vase there, which Francis called a blessing. There was a disturbing painting though. Arthur blinked many times before walking up to it. Angels and Demons surrounded a bed with a dying person reaching out, trying to fight off the Demons. Other people were spread out throughout the painting. The painting looked...changed. The people looked much like them. Them, as in Francis, himself, and someone else. He looked like Alfred. No..Alfred didn't have a strange curl. "Oh yeah, that's the Death of the Reprobate. Isn't it bad ass? Anyways, your room is to the left of you dude." Alfred snapped Arthur out of his thoughts. He looked to the left, then down the hall.
Alex was trying to get Francis to let her ride on his back, Skylar was trying to bribe Francis with her strange chips in exchange for a bottle of wine. Alfred was watching and laughing at Francis as he trying to, and failing to, politely tell the Narnians to go away. The loud noise of Alex's necklace caused him to cringe. He hated that sound.
Arthur looked back at his door, set his bags down, and opened it. Slightly nervous about what was going to be there. His fears were shot away the moment he looked inside. The walls were covered with books. The dim light was just right for reading at night. A dark green chair sat in the corner, a small table with a candle sat next to it. The bed was covered in green blankets and was a queen sized bed. Not that he needed that much space, then again it wasn't like he was complaining. "You like it dude? I spent for-fu*king-ever finding all of this shit." Alfred said from behind Arthur, making him jump. "It's mildly adequate." He said, sticking his chin up as he stepped inside, grabbed his bag, and shut the door on Alfred's face.
Alfred slightly cursed as he turned back around. "So Francy pants, this is your room." He said pointing to the room right across from Arthur's room. Francis quickly made his way over, silently thanking Alfred for getting him away from the Narnians, and quickly went into his room. Shutting the door before Alfred could see his reaction. He looked back at the Narnian's and his brother. Skylar was dancing while tilting the empty bag over her mouth, trying to get the crumbs, as Alex was chatting with Matthew. "Ay, yo Mattress." Alfred said, then laughed at Matthews face when he was called mattress. Alfred walked up to them, and pointed down the hallway with the flower vase. "Down there, it's the only door so you wont get lose. If you do, I'll save ya!" He shouted quite loudly.
Matthew looked down the hall, and pushed up his glasses. He gently took the bag from Alex and began walking down the hall. Alex said something but it was inaudible to him. He looked at the flowers, and gave a soft smile. It was filled with Trillium Grandiflorums, and maple leaves. The vase itself was red and white. I guess he didn't forget about me. Matthew thought happily as he opened the door. His hope was shattered immediately the moment he opened the door. Captain America posters, and action figures were everywhere. Even the bed sheets were Captain America. The room smelled of burgers and fries.
"There ya go dude! Just like the hero!" Alfred shouted from behind him, Matthew gave a sad sigh as he gave a thanks, and entered the room. "I feel bad for him, I smelled the burgers from here." Skylar said, Alex nodded. "We should let him stay in our room eh?" She said, Skylar nodded. Alfred looked at the conversing Narnian's, and sneered. These idiots, they shouldn't even be here. They ruin everything. Alfred looked at them up and down. Scanning at there body types and way of standing. He noticed something that gave him a hope that they were going to be easy. Alex was wearing, as she never takes it off, her dog tag necklace, that makes a loud noise when she walks. It's almost impossible to be silent while wearing it. Skylar walked loudly, she didn't try to be quiet. Alfred smirked.
After he did that, he walked up to them and scratched the back of his head. "I wasn't expecting you two, so your room is down there." He pointed down the hallway to the right, with nothing at the end. The hallway was longer than the others and darker. You couldn't even see the door. "There isn't anything cool in there, and seeing how you two didn't bring anything...you're not going to want to stay in there I'm guessing." He laughed, they nodded. "I'm going to get more chips." Skylar said as she crumbled the completely empty bag and began walking downstairs.
Alex looked down the hall again. Something didn't feel right. I feel uncomfortable around him..that's strange. She thought as she looked up at Alfred, he was staring back at her. "Shit...hi." She said, Alfred raised an eyebrow. "Well go on dude, unless you don't want to go down the hallway. I wouldn't either, you never know what might be down there...Fu*k I just scared myself!" He shouted as he shuttered. Alex smiled more as she began walking down the hall. "No no, I'm fabulous!" She shouted as she walked down the seemingly never ending hallway. When she finally found the door, she opened it and turned on the light quickly. Slightly smiling at the light, and the design of the room. It was small, and cozy. The walls were white, the bed was a queen and was covered in black covers. "Do you like it? I didn't do anything to it cause I didn't know you two would be coming." Alfred said loudly, Alex jumped. "Ah....yeah, it's cool." She smiled as she turned off the light and shut the door. She quickly began to walk back up the hallway and to Matthews room.
Alex dislikes being in the dark. Alfred noted.
