Diary of a 4th Grader

Lana Johnson, 4th grader, just moved to town and already hates school. She has to overcome challenges, such as a cheating bully, an annoying girl, and a really loud classmate. Will she do it? There will be sequels to this (all the way up to 7th grade). (Got the idea from bluesister908)

Chapter 2.

First Day of School

Dear Diary,

Today was a disaster! I was 15 minutes late to school, because Dana was so nervous she threw up and we had to clean it up. When I finally got to my school building, I tripped on the curb - in front of three 5th graders! It was so embarrassing.
In the classroom, there was a man for a teacher - a man! Mom said she made a mistake - instead of Mrs. Anderson, I'll have a Mr. Anderson for the rest of the year! There's nothing worse than being a 4th grade girl in the class of a 40 year old man. Mom says I'm fine. She doesn't understand.
To make it worse, I was stuck sitting next to a boy who picked his nose! Every once in a while, he'd give me a toothy grin and wipe his slimy finger on his pants. It was disgusting. My desk was doodled on by 4th graders who'd been here before, and it said gross stuff about girlfriends!
Why must I go through this, Diary? I still have no friends, and I never will. Mr. Anderson won't even let me write in class! And I sit in the front row, so I can't even sneak it. Nose-picking boy is on my right, and a girl who makes too much noise is on my left. The only person in the entire class who I can even partly imagine as my friend is a girl named Alison, who laughs too much and is annoying.

Wish me luck,

Lana
