The Lost Crown

The Lost Crown

This is a story inspired by Animefan224. We worked on the plot and characters together, but in the end, she asked me to write it. She will probably be helping out a little throughout the story, so I wanted to give her credit in the description. ___ Asher was never good in school, and he didn't realize why until a strange man started following him on the street one day. Richard always knew he was special, but things really got strange after his quest to find an item that he had no idea why was so special. Violet was shy and never thought much of herself, that is until she found the 'Free Team'. Samantha loved life and was exceptionally happy... until her twelfth birthday.

Chapter 4.

~Samantha~ 4

I sighed. The world hated me.  I had been laying in bed for two hours, and I was bored.  I checked the clock.  11:30.  Great, my parents would be in bed.  I hopped out of mine and walked up to the window and pulled the locks up.  I wound it open and slowly slid out.  I was getting to big for this, since I found out I could fit out when I was seven.  When my feet touched the roof, I spun around and pulled the curtain closed behind me.  I laid down for who knows how long watching the clouds and stars until the sun started to come up.  Just another night for Samantha Onowa.  What kind of last name was that?

I poked my head in the window to check the time.   5:21.  Since when did the sun come up so early?  I went back outside and laid my head on the roof.  I had learned that I could hear my parents through it when they were in their room.  They thought I actually slept.  Ha.

I heard their muffled voices, but I had learned to decode it well.  My mom said,

"We need to tell her at some point."  My dad responded,

"No.  I don't want her to find out.  She thinks of me as her real dad."  Whaa?

"But she'll find out eventually."  My mom continued, "We cant hide it from her forever."

"But I want her to stay here."

"Well I don't!"  My mom yelled.  I lifted up my head.  I had heard enough and tears were streaming down my cheeks.  I walked around to the other side of the roof, expertly scaling it to the front side of the house.  I climbed down on the other side, beyond our property fence line.  If she didn't want me, I guess I wouldn't stay.  I ran down the street and out of my general neighborhood.  I got tired after a mile or so and started to walk.  After the sun had made it's full appearance, I had entered a part of Long Island Sound I had never seen before.  It was mostly wooded and there was just a small road I had been following going in the middle.  I was actually, for once in my life, really tired.  I decided to lie down and rest for a while.  On the side of the road.

I'm normal, I swear!
