Meet the talented, beautiful, Nova Hale. Well, Edwin Fulmer now. She blames herself for a terrible accident that killed her best friend, also bandmate, took away her hearing, broke her leg, and injured two other friends, also bandmates. Nova used to be the lead singer of the popular band Supernova. And, now, she's a helpless deaf girl living Ashland, Wisconsin with her brother. She no longer resembles herself at all. Her strawberry blond hair has been dyed black, her usually smiling face saddened, and her enthusiastic personality now gone.
In her new life, Edwin has one goal: don't be noticed. But, what happens when she is noticed? More importantly, noticed by Neil Rusk, a soccer player obsessed with what happened to the popular Nova Hale after she got in a terrible accident?
