Something New Meets Something Dark
That gruesome image of Maria's beautiful body falling onto the cold ground finally woke me up from my long slumber. However, when I awoke, I was no longer in the escape pod. Laying on a comfy bed, I glanced around at the small room. A dresser sat in the corner while a closet appeared on the left side. The walls were painted blue with white carpet. Turning my head to the side, I noticed a guy laying his head on the small bed. The black t-shirt laid tight on him just like his pants and black shoes. His dark blue hair laid down on his back with dark purple ends.Movement started happening from the boy. Seeing him better, I could notice his ears and long wolf tail. As he opened his red eyes, I realized how beautiful they truly were. Then, his smile oh his smile made my just awoken heart beat faster.
Blue Wolf: Oh good you are finally awake!
Me: Where am I? Who are you?
Blue Wolf: I am Axel. You landed in my back yard. I brought you inside, and you've been laying here ever since. Now who are you?
Me: I am Lucinda.
Axel: well nice to meet you, Lucinda.
Me: it's a pleasure. Thank you for saving me.
Axel: *blushing* oh it was nothing. Are you hungry? I could fix breakfast since it is still morning.
Me: Sounds great.
With a goofy smile on his face, Axel stood up from the bed and jogged to the kitchen. Axel. I wonder how long he has been taking care of me. I hope I wasn't a bother to him. He seems like a sweet guy. Smiling, I pulled the covers off of me and walked out the door. I still had on the same clothes from that day. Oh that day still brought horrible memories, but it was the past for now.
Walking in the kitchen, I saw Axel frying some bacon up. Glaring around, I noticed pictures of Axel and another girl. They seemed so happy together. Her short dark blue hair and red eyes appeared to make her a beautiful girl, but why did her beauty make me mad? What was this feeling inside of me?
Axel: Looks like you are moving around great.
Me: Well I'm not a very patient person.
Axel: Well I hope you can wait just a little bit longer.
Me: I will wait for food.
Axel: So, where did you come from, Lucinda? You did fall from the sky.
Me: A dark place..not the sky.
Axel: Doesn't sound very lovely. Any siblings?
Me: No, but I had someone that felt like a brother to me. What about you?
Axel: I see. Does he have a name? Oh, I have one sister. Cameron.
Me: Shadow. We were close. Are you and Cameron close?
Axel: Very. I told her to bring some clothes when her and the guys come by.
Me: The guys? Your friends?
Axel: I guess you could say that *brings bacon and a glass of orange juice*
Me: yummy!! Bacon!
Axel: ha! That was cute.
Me: Ha gotta love bacon *finishes it up*
Axel: dang that was quick.
Me: I was hungry.
Axel: I know that now. Wanna go outside?
Me: don't you wanna clean up?
Axel: *grabs my hand* I will. Later. *drags me outside*
His warm touch on my hand made my heart beat faster and faster. This boy made me feel like I was melting. Standing outside, the sun shined bright without a cloud bothering it. In his front yard, green grass grew shining and vibrant with a hole full of water on this side of the house.
Axel: *releases my hand and smiling* Now let me tell you about the guys coming. The blue hedgehog is named Sonic. The silver hedgehog is named Silver. Finally, the black and red hedgehog is Shadow.
Axel: is the grumpy guy the Shadow you are talking about?!?!
Me: Yes. When will he be here?
Axel: Well look.
Looking where he said, I saw them. Each of the people he said walked straight to the house even the girl in the pictures walked to us. Near the back, I saw him. Shadow. The closest person I had to a family grew closer and closer to me. Would he still recognize me? Finally, they arrived in front of us. When Axel saw the girl in the pictures, he gave her a big hug and grabbed the bag she was carrying.
Axel: Cameron. Guys. This is Lucinda.
Me: wait your Cameron?
Cameron: Yup Yup! His twin sister! The best one out of the two!
Shadow: *pushing the boys out of the way* Lucy? Is it really you?
Me: *walking to Shadow* It's Lucinda. Don't forget that, Shadow.
Shadow: *hugging me* I thought you were dead.
Me: *hugging him back* Likewise.
Sonic: Hold on! Shadow has feelings?
Silver: Looks like the Scrouge has a soft spot.
Shadow: *pulling away* Oh shut up, fakers. Wait, have you been staying here?
Me: I guess so
Shadow: *walking up to Axel* Lucy is the hot girl you've been hopping would wake up?!!
Axel: Hey! Not in front of her *blushing*
Cameron: Shadow, calm down. Big brother didn't know.
Sonic: Wait, guys do y'all hear that?
After Sonic said that, a large powerful robot appeared out of the deep dark forest. The man on top of the robot appeared to look like the Professor but younger. Could he still be alive? Does that mean Maria is alive?
Sonic: Eggman! What do you want?
Eggman: Ho Ho. I have detected some dark chaos energy around here. I plan to capture it.
Silver: well think again, Egghead! None of that is here.
Shadow: Lucinda, is he?
Eggman: It's coming from the red girl down there. Now just come with me, and no one will get hurt.
Axel: Lucinda and Cameron, stay back. We will handle it.
Flames came out of Axel's hands as he jumped in the air along with the other boys. Each tried attacking the large robot, but none of them made a scratch on it. One of the giant arm robot slammed all four boys down in front of Cameron and me. I couldn't simply watch them get killed like Maria. Looking at the rings around my wrists, I knew what I had to do. The dark power the Professor and I were trying to control. I was ready to release it.
Me: You wanna see the darkness. Fine. Boys, stay back.
Shadow: Lucy, no!
Grabbing the rings, I released both of them. Dark rays burst out of my body. The dark chaos covered all over my body. With the dark power taking over, I tried to keep my mind focused. The thoughts of the Professor's words kept my mind in control. Opening my eyes, I gazed down at my dark purple hands. Feeling my hair, I caught a glimpse of the now dark blue tips of my hair. This feeling of power felt amazing. A evil smile curved on my face.
Me: Eggman, was it? You should of never came over here.
Jumping in the air, I felt my body floating straight at him. Raising one hand at his shoulder, a dark ray shot out of my finger tips landing a sharp blow at the shoulder. The robotic arm fell to the ground.
Eggman: What Power?! Who are you?
Me: I am Lucinda. Don't you forget it.
