Chapter 2.
Day 2: School life

Day 2: School life

Wednesday:
At school I'm the leader of the Popular, yeah I know " aren't you considered the brat girls?"  I consider us as misunderstood, Jessica my bestie, has a self-obsessed mother who desires her daughter to be slender and gorgeous, cutting on her food and forcing makeup on her. My other friend, Fiona has parents who spoil her but are never home, not even on her birthday, the only contact from them she gets is through a phone and notes with their credit cards. And me... Well, you pretty much know most of it, a girl who has no one to love me but my father who I rarely see and maybe... My brothers. Sure we may be bratty but we can't help it, it doesn't help that everyone thinks we have an awesome life only acting sad or mad for attention. The truth is we are jealous of those who don't have much fortune but loving parents, we would give anything to have. I individually have envy for some book characters I have, they have a poor life sure, but they get love so easily!

Life is never fair, I sighed and walked down the hall to my classroom. I put the effort in how I walked, I strode with confident and a mischievous smile. I quickly notice a girl, I don't know wandering around holding. A piece of paper. The new girl obviously, she bumps into me. " watch it newbie" I snapped. " I'm s-s-sorry." Okay, so you may think THIS is the girl who steals the heart of the crush I have blah blah blah. But the truth is I don't have a crush, seriously getting hopes up is overrated for me. The sad truth is, I've never had a boyfriend...or kissed anyone "What is your name?" I demanded " C-C-hole Fam..." She shuddered Hm... No one famous. Probably an average girl, " well Chloe, don't mess with me." I warned her and walked past her, purposely bumping her to make her books and paper fall and walked away unaffected.

I stopped mid stride looking up to a boy, Kevin..Fam, oh I see upset I messed with her sister. "Do you have to intimidate EVERY new student? What's your problem?!" he demanded, " oh I do admire the love you share for your sister, sadly I don't care so get out of my way?" I said giving him the face that can make any man do whatever I want. I batted my eyelashes and smiled, giving my effort for the kind eyes.  He froze. "Thanks," I said and I smiled a mischievous smile and walked away. Okay so I may know how to wrap a boy around, it doesn't work on my family, though, sadly. When I almost reach my class I heard him yell, " I know your problem! You don't know what love even is! Monster!" I frowned, and I dismissed my thought, putting on a blank face and entered my classroom, History Mr. Feild.

At lunch, my friends sat at our special table, my mind was rolling over the scene in the hallway. "Jessica? What do you know about Chloe Fam?" I asked curiously "She's a new student our age, she only kissed one boy, was transferred from Western High, has a brother in our school, Kevin Fam and her family isn't very wealthy." She said then took a sip of her Starbucks coffee. Jessica is like the social computer she knows every gossip in the air and doesn't even bother to ask why I ask this. "Should we invite her to our table?" I asked Fiona dropped her chip she was about to eat. "Why? She totally ordinary! Not to mention her brother... which you had recently encountered. I heard." She complained, "let us try something new, eh? All in?" Both Jessica shrugged  but Fiona shook her head with disapproval " then it's decided." I scanned the room finding Chloe sitting all alone only her brother sitting with her, I snickered. I strode towards her, everyone had stared at me with gaping mouths. When I finally reached her table Kevin stood up and said, " what are you doing here?" Clearly surprised. " I'm going to offer your sister a one chance deal, do you want to sit at our table?" I said averting my attention off her brother and to Chloe. She had a mouth open. "Yes, or no?" I said impatiently. Her eyes went to her brother to me, back and forth. " I'm sure your brother has friends don't you?" I glanced at Kevin.

He obviously doesn't, I thought. Ugh, I'm being too generous today I'm taking a major spa day afterwards. " I'll tell you what pick any group you want to be friends with and I can make that happen like that." I offered to Kevin. Kevin looked at her sister who nodded then to me. "Okay, " he said with a mischievous smile, " what about the popular boy group?" He challenged. "Okay" I snapped, getting irritated, I walked to the table, I saw some of the, dropping their sandwiches. Lead boy, Ethan, "Ethan?" I asked with an innocent tone " Yes?" He shot up from his seat and walked toward me like a puppy. This was going to be way too easy. " Do you mind inviting Kevin to your group?" I asked " No way..he's just..so..." He stuttered, and hesitated, I lifted his chin and I saw him gulp. I once again smiled and batted my lashes ", please?" "Sure! Absolutely" He said way to eager. "Thanks" and I gave him a tiny hug. I walked back to  Chloe and Kevin. "Done, Chloe you in?" I said bored. "S-Sure," she said walking to my side, I patted her brother on the back " Have fun."

After reaching to table Jessica immediately said, " I can't believe you made him melt like a dog! Man girl! You got to teach me some skills!" " it's all in the wrist I learned it from my brother, ya know," I replied. " So are your guys really brats?" Chloe whispered. I table went silent, I glared at her " no, we aren't" I said with a steel tone clearly I was not telling her about my life. Fiona glared at her, her face was black but her eyes gave it away, she was extremely angry. "You gotta have a lot of nerve to say that newbie " she snapped. "S-sorry" she stuttered, rude hmm? "So how did you girls ever even became so popular? Is it just because your dads are rich?" She asked curiously "Are you even serious?" Jessica asked I can tell she was trying to contain her anger. I took a deep breath, "No it is not because of our rich dads or you wouldn't be here." I snapped. "Sorry, I'm just extremely curious, why are you even acting like this though aren't you thankful for the things you have?" She asked with curiosity, man I'm starting to hate this girl I took a deep breath "Do you want to be a reporter when you grow up?" I asked trying to change the subject. " Yes, I do just like my father was! How can you tell?" She asked clearly surprised. Typical, bottom feeder dad and soon-to-be bottom feeder daughter. Already starting to regret my choice. "Okay let's lay down some rules" I demanded, I couldn't bare it anymore "number one, don't ask us about our family, number 2 always eat with us, number 3 always be confident, number 4 don't be a pushover, number 5 don't wear anything..bad" I said. "Oh.. I didn't realize I'm so sorry, for the questions.. But number  4 and 5 are hard... I don't have much faith. And I don't have a very ..wealthy family."

When was I about to reply my brother walked over " Where is my phone? I must have dropped it when I bumped into your brat." Caden demanded. I stood up " I don't have your phone!" I protested, standing up. " I don't have time for your trash where's my phone!" He said starting to raise his voice. "Sorry one-second girls," I said then I grabbed him by the arm and dragged him out of the lunch room. "What's your problem?! Do you want the whole school to think we're related!" I whispered. " where's my phone." He demanded. " I don't have it!" I shouted getting annoyed. He slapped me and walked away, I had a theory he was on drugs. Man! He slapped hard I covered my cheek and walked to my table avoiding eyes contact. I can't have them thinking something worse than they already are thinking. I've never been slapped by my brother before, never. Sure they'd insult me and all but they would never hit me like my grandma or my mom would. They never did that. But Caden did. I hid my face when I reached my table. I could hear Jessica and Fiona trying to help me while Chloe asked what happened. I was sobbing before I even knew it.
