Chapter 5.
Battle of the champions.

Battle of the champions.

I charge at my opponent and land a hit on his arm with a sickening "CRACK", he dissapears from sight. I feel a jabbing motion In my back. I swirl around and crack him in the head. Then he goes into a frenzy, I am dodging left right and center as we battle. I am able to land a few more blows on him, Eventually his rage wears off and we both collapse at the same time, We have another go later and it ends with the same result.
Then, they give us our swords. This is now a fight to the death. I am a bit more experienced with his style of combat and have learnt to move faster. I stab him in the groin and dodge one of his blows from behind, I swing my legs low and trip him before beating him unconscious with the pommel of my sword. I knew that i was probably going to be executed if I did not follow through with the blow, So I slit his throat.
We are sent on our way without healing and our supplies are returned to us, we were well on our way when we came to a bridge, where it says in elvish "No man shall pass this bridge in safety" So we decide to send the girls over first. Nothing happens as they travel across the bridge. So me and Icky (That is the nick-name I gave him, Don't tell him or he might thump me with that hammer of his while I'm sleeping.) We are about half way when the river starts to bubble, then these two women burst out of the water and start throwing clumps of boiling watery sludge at us, we move up close and start slashing and bashing them with our weapons, they seem to have no effect on them when the bard starts singing a song and our weapons start glowing with magic. Our attacks are now getting into them and slowly we start wasting them away. We wipe their sludgy remains off the bridge and continue on our journey.
We have a few days of rest, Then A massive pillar of rock looms before us, with a beautiful woman chained to it. She says "You should not of come here, especially you" She looks to the paladin. And then the ghostly weapons attack. I have two daggers attacking me, more attacking the others. One hits me on the left while the other goes for a feight on the left. I slash one in half then cleave the other on the back-swing. We Finnish our battle to see that the woman we were going to rescue is gone, instead stands the crone of chaos...
