Ch. 3
"Yui, wake up." Kakashi sayyou're ndly."Mmmmnnmooooooo." She complains.
With that Kakashi pulls the covers off her. Her eye open. She does her demon death glare. Kakashi gently kicks her out of bed. With that, Yui sucker punches his leg.
"Yui, don't you want to see your brother? You're meeting him at the academy. Then you'll do whatever." Kakashi tells the sleepy girl.
'What about you, Kakashi?' Yui writes.
"I have a meeting with the hokage."
'Oh...'
Yui throws a book at him. He immediately knows the message. He leaves before she throws other stuff at him. The four year old stood up and got clothes on. She hates it when Kakashi forces her out of bed. After getting her travel bag (she carries bandages, snacks, money and a kendo stick), she leaves. A smile was plastered on her face. Kaito sat on the swings waiting for his little sister. Asuma sat with him, just in case people decided to mess with the kid. Yui ran with her notepad under her arm. When Yui came in sight, Kaito jumped up and ran towards her. Asuma stared at the small girl. He walked up to the two.
"Well, Kaito, you and your sister have fun. See ya at home later." He told them.
"Whatever." Kaito says.
Yui hit her brother upside the head. The two started to argue... sorta. Asuma smiled at Yui. She's definitely not like Kaito, he thought walking away. Kaito and Yui walked around town. They stop at a candy shop. Kaito got a mischievous smile plastered across his face.
"Yui, let's get a sugar rush!" He whisper yells.
Yui shakes her head. Yui sees chocolate. She loves chocolate. Digging through her bag, she realizes she forgot money. She goes emo corner mode. Kaito knows she's clumsy, he also knows her memory sometimes. He pulled out his wallet, feeling bad for Yui. He bought chocolate and some gummy candy. He stuck a piece of chocolate in Yui's mouth.
"Kai-chaaaaannnn" she said happily.
"Duuummmmy!" He teased.
They go to a field. They saw two ninja there. One of them noticed the two kids. The ninja were childish genin.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" The older boy says.
The young children attemt running away. Yui's hair was grabbed. Yui screamed out loud. Kaito's arm was grabbed. Struggling, Kaito punched the other kid in the face. The genin started bullying them. Yui tried whatever she could to get away, unfortunately not able to. A rock was thrown at the two boys. They looked up, then ran away. Yui was crying and Kaito was staring down the genin.
Before them was an Uchiha. Not just any Uchiha, but Itachi Uchiha. Yui's cheek was swollen. Kaito pulled her up. Looking at the other boy who helped them, they knew he wouldn't harm them. Itachi took the two to his home. Kaito held his sister's hand trying to stop her tears. When Itachi's mother saw Yui she pulled out bandages and water. These two are a train wreck! Sasuke came downstairs hearing of his brother's return home.
"Big brother, you're home!" He said happily at the sight of Itachi.
"Hello, Sasuke. I found a couple children getting hurt. Mother is fixing them up. Do you want to meet them?" Itachi asks.
Sasuke nods. Itachi takes Sasuke to the two children. They enter the living room just as their mother finishes patching them up. Yui looks at the boy who entered the room. She wants to touch his poofy looking hair. Kaito stands up and walks towards Sasuke.
"Who... the heck are you, shrimp?" Kaito says.
"Who're you calling shrimp!?" Sasuke yells back.
"The person I'm looking at, dumbnut!"
"You're dumb!"
Yui started to giggle. Kaito always picks fights with boys his age. The two arguing boys look at her. How can she be laughing if they're fighting? Itachi has a small smile because of the two. Itachi looks at Yui because she hasn't spoken.
"Can you tell me your names?" He asks the two siblings.
"I'm Kaito. And she's my little sister, Yui!" Kaito answers.
"Why doesn't Yui speak?"
"I don't know, actually. She just stopped one day."
"How old are you two?"
"I'm five, Yui's four. I'm gonna be a ninja someday!"
Yui wrote me, too. She has a smile on her face. Sasuke stares at Yui. She seems too much like glass, it gets scratched to easily, he thought. Itachi clears his throat.
"Well, why don't you three play together. I have things to do." He states.
Kaito poked Sasuke yelling you're it. The three ran outside laughing. It wasn't til sunset Yui and Kaito left. Since that day, those three have been friends. They made a promise to all become ninja together.
