Chapter One

Forest Clan padded towards Broken Trees, Flamingpaw brought up the rear with Tumblepaw. "What do you think tonight's gathering is going to be about?" Tumblepaw asked Flamingpaw. "Prey, prey, and prey! That's all we talk about" Flamingpaw meowed, but he knew prey was a bad guess. A half moon had passed from meeting with Cloud Clan, Skystar would probably spill the beans about the prophecy.
"I agree! Remember last gathering when Adderstar went insane?" Tumblepaw meowed, Flamingpaw broke into a loud laugh. "He said, 'If I see you cats on my territory, I'll send them out of their own clan'" Flamingpaw put on a croaky voice, trying to imitate Adderstar. "And then said, 'You little rebels'" Tumblepaw giggled, and Flamingpaw joined. "Hey, what are you giggling about?" It was Dewfang. "Nothing" Flamingpaw lied, and then broke out in laughter. "Nothing? Well your a 'Great' liar" Dewfang growled and stalked away. "She ruins everything!" Flamingpaw hissed, and stopped walking as the his clan entered the gathering.
"Sunpaw!" Flamingpaw called to the cat in front of him. "Yes?" Sunpaw asked, her green eyes shining in the moon light. "Do you want to hang out with me at this gathering?" Flamingpaw felt his pelt turn hot, but Sunpaw agreed.
As the two cats talked, they didn't look where they were going. 'CRASH' Flamingpaw and Sunpaw hit a cat.
"Ow" the two apprentices groaned. "OW? You two should be looking where your going!" the cat talking was a winged cat with brown fur, "I'm Clawstorm of Cloud Clan". "A Cloud Clan cat! Hi! I'm Sunpaw!" Sunpaw rushed up to Clawstorm, "Wow, your wings!". "Clawstorm? I didn't see you when I visited your camp" Flamingpaw meowed, puzzled. "Ah, you must be Flamingpaw! Yes, when you were at the camp I was on a hunting patrol" Clawstorm meowed. Flamingpaw nodded in thanks at the warrior, and Sunpaw smiled. "So how many moons are you?" Clawstorm asked. "I'm ten moons, and Sunpaw is eight moons old" Flamingpaw answered, "I'm almost a warrior!". Clawstorm nodded and padded away, her wings shifted to her sides.
A yowl rose up into the air, the gathering was starting. 'Will Skystar spill the beans?' Flamingpaw thought as Adderstar stepped to the front of the rock.
