Chapter 25
When the bell finally went, Mica and I made sure to take longer than everyone else to leave the classroom. When everyone had left, we walked out of the room, and slowly made our way to the school gates. Mica walked a few metres in front of me, so it didn't look like we were walking together, and I followed him through the corridors until we got outside the school. Then we walked up the road, away from our school, Mica still walking in front of me. When we finally got to the top of the road, he stopped and waited for me, and I caught up with him. We walked down the road that led to his house, then Mica stopped when we came to the park. The park where we'd had our first kiss.
"Victoria, shall we stop here before we go to my house?" he asked me.
"Okay." I said, and we walked through the entrance to the park.
Memories came flooding back to me as we made our way through the place. We walked up the long path to the huge green gates, which led to the playground, and as I did so, I remembered myself walking out of those same gates, full of happiness because Mica had told me he loved me.
We continued walking until we got to the playground, and we pushed through the small gate to enter it. Mica went over to the swings, and I followed him. He stood there for a moment, staring at them. It was beginning to rain, tiny droplets of rain decorating my school uniform.
"So much has happened between us since we were first here. It seems like ages ago that we were last here, even though it was only a few weeks ago." Mica whispered.
"That was the day you first told me you loved me." I said quietly, smiling at the memory.
"Yes. The day I first told you that I loved you. The day that I first held you. The day that I first kissed you." he said.
He stepped closer to me, and I looked up at him. It was raining heavily now, and Mica's hair had become a lot less curly. It looked longer and flopped over his eyes, making him look even more handsome.
"And I'm going to do it again." he said to me, then he leaned in and kissed me.
I kissed him back, the rain still pouring down on us. The last time Mica had kissed me here, it was the day that we started dating, and we had both been nervous. I hadn't kissed anyone before, and I didn't think he had either, so it had been kind of scary. But today, the situation was different. We weren't scared anymore, and we were a lot closer than we were before.
Mica ran his hands through my rain-soaked hair, and I ran mine through his as he kissed me again and again. When he pulled away, he looked at me.
"I love you, Victoria." he whispered.
"Really?" I whispered back.
"Yes." Mica said with a smile.
I smiled back at him, and after a moment, he spoke again.
"We should probably start heading to my house now. It's probably going to be raining for a while now, so we should go somewhere dry." he suggested.
I nodded, and we began to walk out of the park together. When we had made our way out of it, we were on Mica's road again. We carried on walking up the road, and stopped when we found his house.
