Chapter 2.

3rd January 2013

The appointment finally came around. My mum and I went to the hospital in the afternoon, and we had to find the X-Ray department. It clearly said on my letter to get an X-Ray done first, before seeing this guy called Dr. Hekal. The x-ray didn't take long though, just a few minutes.
But I was still bored XD

+++

With the x-rays done, we went to the OPD unit to see Dr. Hekal. We also met a lovely nurse named Cheryl. She's a specialist in Scoliosis.
We sat down and discussed my x-ray pictures. My spine was curved. What the hell?
And then came the bad news: I was diagnosed with Scoliosis.
I had 2 curves to my spine, one was 48 degrees, the other 37 degrees.
And no back brace could fix it.
I had to have an operation to fix it.
And I lost it.
I cried. And cried.
Literally.

My friend has a problem with her foot, it something that old people get. She'll have to get surgery if she runs too much.

Evenstar: Be strong! When the surgery is over, you will live like any normal kid.
Me: Also, you are actually lucky to just have Scoliosis. You could have had an disease with no known cure, like the "Dancing Sickness".
